Is there a difference content wise with that Batman collection versus the previous Anthology?

Didn't realize they were starting 4 Film Favorites on Blu-ray. I'm guessing they are one standard-size case with four discs?

I just bought the Batman and Batman Returns steelbooks for $13 each.

I guess it's probably worth the extra six bucks to get the steelbook packaging and not get Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

I assume that the only difference will be the exclusion of the Digital copy of the first movie, which would make the new set the equivalent of buying each of the movies individually.

I'm more interested in what the Lethal Weapon set includes ... in the original Lethal Weapon collection there was a 5th Bonus disc.

That won't be included.

Alice in Chains is going to be at the Lynnwood, WA BB on Tues... lol, gotta check it out - would be cool to get the CD signed.

Is that Lethal Weapon set an exclusive? I can't find it on Amazon.

Hopefully this Lethal Weapon 4 film collection has the discs from the remasters and not the old 2006 discs

Folks at blu-ray.com are reporting LW1 and 2 are in fact, the old 2006 discs with lossy audio intact.

Looks like I need to track down the already released collection.

Thanks for the info.

I got the UK collection a few months ago. Definitely worth it.

Definitely get the UK collection. It's actually cheaper than the U.S. collection and has all the same bonus materials, including the bonus disc and Donner commentaries.

would have loved to get the LW set, and not so much interested in the box set, due to its size (width) on a shelf. THIS would have been an acceptable alternative, but old discs (supposedly) = no buy.

still going to go for the Batman set, even though i have 1 and 2 in the Tim Burton box set.

At it's widest point, the outer slip-box is barely an inch wide.

My local BBY had an endcap with WB double and quadruple features, 9.99 and 19.99 (sticker price on the quads, so they may drop sometime soon enough).

TMNT live action trilogy + TMNT
Where the Wild Things Are/Yogi Bear/Space Jam/Owls of Ga'Hoole
Blade/Constantine/V for Vendetta/I am Legend
Wedding Crashers/Horrible Bosses/Hall Pass/Dumb and Dumber (all extended/not movie only editions)
Batman 1-4
Lethal Weapon 1-4
Dirty Harry 1-4
Unknown/Seven/Edge of Darkness/Training Day

The comedy set is called "Modern Comedies," so that means we'll likely see a classic one in the next wave, with a Lampoon's Vacation set down the pipeline (no doubt using the old discs where possible).

nabbed the Bats and the comedy set, along with the new 7.99 dump bin entry: Mimesis

Also: still wondering wtf is wrong with WB in concerns with Dirty Harry 5, Dead Pool. They released pt 1 digi, pt 1/2 combo, pt 3/4 combo, 1-4, and 1-5 2x, along with pt 1 being in the 50 film set and the Eastwood 10 film set that's already out. Why couldn't they just make it 2-5, or do 1, 2-3, 4-5?

More than a single spine wide is too much on my shelving units, as they're all overflowing. Condensed as many as I've been able to afford into triple/double/now quadruple features. Even bought the Uni 100 and WB 90 boxes to clear space (and get the few I didn't have).

How are those 4 movie sets packaged? 4 discs? 4 sidcs in one pack or slimline? I don't tink I have seen 4 before... just curious on the quality.
