malata n996 problem help needed
 

my malata is having a picture problem!
i came home to find my dvd player in zoom mode( didnt know it had one ). i went to the settings to try to reset the system and i couldnt see all the menu . i selected the one i coudnt see and it was the progressive scan menu.
i pushed ok like an arse and now my screen is blue. if i turn it off then on , it welcomes me then goes blue..... help as im at my whitts end with this thing ...can it be reset or some thing

I'm not sure if this works but you can try.

On the remote control press and hold the subpicture for 5 seconds.

Yes, that should do it. It's in the manual.

When I first got my Malata 996 I was screwing around with the remote and this happened to me. I went through the manual with a fine tooth comb and found the solution.

Edit: I got out my manual. It's at the bottom of page 16 under "Scanning Mode." This really should also be covered in "Troubleshooting" because it's not that hard to make this mistake and the solution in the manual is easy to overlook.
