Shudder will keep track. I watched several things on Shudder in-between snippets of both parts of ISOD and it always had my spot. It actually puts you back a couple of seconds before you stopped it when you start it back up.

I didn't think I was even going to bother with this because of the daunting running time and superficial substance. But as mentioned, it's easy "background" viewing. And if Shudder will let me keep picking up where I leave of, I can see myself making my way through this over the next week or so.

It is during the film. The only weird thing I've noticed is that sometimes it still shows up to "resume" even after I've finished watching something.

I subscribed to the Shudder channel through the apple TV app on my LG TV, and as such, it doesn't keep track of where I am in a movie. Just a heads up for those thinking of that option.

It was fun to briefly re-visit all these films, but agree that it was super shallow. And while it covered a lot of films, it didn’t go into any deep cuts but stuck to mostly common films. Still, maybe good background viewing again someday, or a good disc to lend fairly new horror fans to help them get immersed into the genre.

Stealing rbrown’s subset ranking idea:

Curse of the Demon, 8/10
The Phantom Carriage, 8/10
Carrie, 8/10
Battle Royale, 8/10

The Spiral Staircase, 8/10
Slumber Party Massacre 2, 7/10
A Bay of Blood, 7/10
The Frighteners, 7/10

Road Games, 7/10
Slither, 7/10
Witchfinder General 7/10
The Mortuary Collection, 6/10
Cutting Class, 6/10
Prom Night 2: Hello Mary Lou, 6/10
In Search of Darkness, 6/10
Grave Robbers, 5/10

Silent Madness, 5/10
The Severed Arm, 4/10

Four hours is too much! I think this could have been two parts but oh well.

Like Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour) I too am a fan of Fastway's Trick or Treat soundtrack album.
