My favorite sports film of all time, about damn time for a SE!

I would have picked the "Up your butt, Jobu" tagline instead though ;)

Celpacius 01-01-07 04:51 PM

im buying that

wm lopez 01-01-07 06:46 PM

Yeah see I had seen the 70's sportss movies and by the time the 80's rolled in and MAJOR LEAGUE came out I saw it as a rip-off with it's bunch of losers that wins story. It's storyline was done 3 times in the 70's.

Forget about the cliched stoyline and just enjoy the comedy that takes place within it.

I for one am glad I held off on buyin the current release. As a young teen, me and my friends had a summer tradition that we had to watch this before going out and playing baseball.

I would have gone with "The Juuust a bit outside" Edition

"Hats for Bats, Keep Bats Warm" edition with a bonus bat hat.

TheStoicPaisano 01-02-07 06:49 AM

How about the "Look at this Fuckin' Guy" edition?

As a native Clevelander, I'm overjoyed about this, though the older disc is probably the most played in my collection.

rexinnih 01-02-07 08:59 AM

Looks like it's time for a double dip. Love this movie.

wordtoyamotha 01-02-07 01:23 PM

How about the "Shit, I've been cut already?" edition?

It's by far the funniest of the four you mentioned, and probably the funniest sports movie of all time.

I hope there's some special features attached to this one. I'd love to see the funniest line from the trailer "Yellowstone", get put back in.

 Agreed. A great movie, looking forward to more features on this definite double dip.

joliom 01-02-07 02:15 PM

As long as the features are half-way decent, I'm in.

Great news. But why couldn't they have made it a box set with all three? I know the 3rd is, for the most part, completely different from the first two, but I enjoyed Major League and Major League 2 equally would rather have seen a box set with all three and extras for each movie.

Different studios (part 2 is from WB).

There's a ton of shit out there for this movie...

I believe they re-used that line in the inferior and downright horrible sequel to the movie.
I would have went "They're still shitty" edition

gotcha.

I thought the sequal was just as good if not better. I had seen the 2nd one before the first, and that may be why, but I enjoyed both.

No word on what's actually on this?

Summer School is due in May, and they have the extras listed already.

TheNightFlier 02-18-07 05:42 PM

Wow, that's an awful cover.

Looking at it again, maybe this should be the "Threesome edition" :)

RUSF18 02-18-07 08:27 PM

I would sign up for the "Mitchell Friedman?!" edition.

LorenzoL 02-18-07 08:31 PM

That's an awful cover art but I'm still buying this DVD.
