friday the 13th remake unrated dvd

it hasnīt even been releases in cinemas yet, but in his blog, producer brad fuller talked about the unrated dvd release of the movie.
not that i wasn`t expecting it, but it definitely sounds good!

"We are finishing up on the Unrated DVD this week. That DVD will rock! We have a different cut of movie, that not only has more violence and sex, but it has an additional storyline that is totally different from the movie you will see in theaters. Its not like we just cut a few things differently, the DVD version will feel like a different movie. For those of you who love the theatrical cut, that will also be on the DVD also."

"There definitely will be some really fun stuff on the DVD, Deleted scenes, alt scenes, an extended unrated cut of the movie with probably at least ten minutes of footage cut into the movie."

Gotta love New Line.

I have my free ticket from His Name Was Jason, so I'll be catching it at midnight on Thursday.

Re: friday the 13th remake unrated dvd

unfortunately I have to trek out to a Regal theatre to use the free ticket (and not my neighborhood AMC :mad2: )

How much is the ticket valued at? Did the DVD only come with one?

It seems like, if you buy His Name Was Jason at Wal-Mart, the ticket is worth $10 (and the DVD only costs $9.96 there, as well), but if you get it elsewhere, the ticket is worth only $5 (and I've heard the DVD costs $15). So, get it at Wal-Mart!

Exactly.

After hearing this news, if it wasn't for the free $10 MovieCash, I'd probably wait for the DVD.

I'll believe it when I have the blu ray in my hands. The same was said for the release of Max Payne and that turned out to be complete BS.

I'm glad that the theatrical version will be included as well. That's how all releases should be.

Re: friday the 13th remake unrated dvd

walmart lists the deluxe editions of friday13th 4-6 for june 9th.
would this be a safe bet to suspect that the remake will
be released on the same day? or does the remake dvd release have nothing
to do with this date, because the deluxe dvds are paramount releases,
whereas the remake is a new line/warner release??

Re: friday the 13th remake unrated dvd

I heard July. I wouldn't surprised to see an announcement within the next couple weeks.

Its coming out in July from Newline - F13 4-6 are through Paramount so it really does not matter when they come out on DVD (though putting them out on the same day makes sense). You are more likely to see Freddy vs. Jason in July on Blu-ray.

july only, damn!
as boxoffice went down 80% after the first week, i would have thought that
they would try to cash in with a dvd quicker!
where is the july info from?

A horror film being released in June is not that great...but waiting until October is not feasible. And the info comes from me. I have the supposed date already, but it might be changing. It will officially be announced in a few weeks.

in a few weeks only! maybe you could give the release hint to mao, so that he can add it to the rumor section of the release calendar thread :)

I may end up picking it up. While not a "great" movie, I was surprised with how entertaining it was.

I'm curious to see the director's cut. Hopefully, it reintergrates the missing Mrs. Voorhees story back into the film.

Re: friday the 13th remake unrated dvd

Its gonna have a bunch of the cut scenes/alternate deaths IIRC.

More stupendous tits? :D

islandclaws 04-03-09 03:28 PM

If it had any more "stupendous tits" it would have practically been a full-on porn.

how come no official release date or specs yet?

philip74 04-14-09 05:38 PM

infos in the next 1-2 weeks!?
