Japanese Walt Disney Treasures DVD

Hey, I'm a new member here so I don't know how will y'all react to this.

Basically I was browsing on Wikipedia and saw a page about one of my favorite DVD series, the Walt Disney Treasures sets, but what caught my attention was the fact that one part of the page said that there 5 exclusive DVD releases in Japan, alongside some other releases that were also released in Europe, that caught my attention since I definitely didn't know that the series had some sort of release in Japan, and after a lenghty search I realized that they were indeed released there, tho with a difference, instead of coming in big DVD cases covered in tin cases, they come in sleeves with a plastic holder, here are the releases (highlighted releases were only released in USA and Japan):
  1. Mickey Mouse in Living Color: Volume One
  2. Silly Symphonies
  3. Mickey Mouse in Black and White: Volume One
  4. The Complete Goofy
  5. Mickey Mouse in Living Color: Volume Two
  6. The Chronological Donald: Volume One
  7. Mickey Mouse in Black and White: Volume Two
  8. The Complete Pluto: Volume One
  9. The Chronological Donald: Volume Two
  10. Disney Rarities
  11. The Complete Pluto: Volume Two
  12. More Silly Symphonies
  13. The Chronological Donald: Volume Three
  14. The Adventures of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
  15. Disneyland: Secrets, Stories and Magic
  16. The Chronological Donald: Volume Four
Some of these DVD's, like for example "The Chronological Donald Volume Three" and "Disneyland: Secrets, Stories and Magic" are far cheaper than their American counterparts (Japanese Donald Volume 3 costed me 30 dollars, while the American version usually goes up to 200 or 300 dollars), tho I was hoping for the same to apply to The Chronological Donald Volume Four (my most wanted DVD right now) tho it's actually as expensive and rare as it's American counterpart (the cheapest listing I found for it had it at 22500 yen, or roughly 170 dollars), I still don't know why JP Donald Volume 3 is cheap to find but JP Volume 4 isn't, but either way I hope that I get my hands on it someday...

If it anything like the US releases, as the line went on the edition numbers were constantly slashed, I believe the last few waves have the shortest run if I remember correctly.

I wish Disney would have done a Blu/4K or digital release of these

It's possible that the Japanese Donald Vol. 3 had a higher production run than the US one, while their Vol. 4 had as small a run as the US one, maybe that's why the former is a lot cheaper in Japan? I was buying them as they were coming out, but several years back I sold them all, I couldn't resist the crazy prices on DD Vol. 3 and 4 and was worried that a potential Blu-ray release (which hasn't happened at this point) would make the prices crash, so I cashed out. :)

Same, cultshock, I had all the Chronological Donalds, sold those and the Annette one. Still have On the Frontlines somewhere, which was my favorite one.
