OD: $3393.39 -17.6% YoY (last year YoY was -12.9%)

DVD: $1792.13 -20.4% YoY (last year was -20.7%)

I don't know. I wouldn't go as far as to say that disc will need the same kind of retro revival as vinyl to survive.

Certainly not going to help. Physical media will always be around for the collectors and video/audiophiles, or just people who don't want to depend on movies being on servers or having an internet...

I wonder as well. Probably peak at well under $1 billion and within the next 2-3 years is my guess. I thought it would overtake Blu-ray within 10 years (which I said over 3 years ago), as Blu-ray...

The Blu-ray and the UHD are all the same discs as before. So whatever extras the Blu-ray had are still there. The only extra disc besides the bonus disc is the Avengers: Endgame. Iron Man 1 and 2...

It's actually surprising that DVD declined as slowly as it did, given all the forces that came against it after it peaked. Most people with an opinion back then assumed DVD would have been long gone...

Blu-ray/UHD up to 45% revenue share this year. I'm sure next year DVD will be finally less than 50% since DVD's decline rate is accelerating (down 20% this year vs. the norm of 15%).
