Re: I cannot praise HBO anymore

Cable movie channels still have pan and scan. That's the annoying part.

Re: Roger Ebert – Discussion & Appreciation [Update: Dead]

One of my biggest literary heroes. I was shocked to say the least. He'll be very sorely missed.

Re: Your Thoughts On: The Rock (the actor, not the movie)

100 percent agreed.

I generally like the Rock a lot. He's charming, funny, has a good sense of humor about himself, and can make almost any movie pleasant.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII (2015, D: Abrams, S: The casts of Star Trek, Lost, Felicit

There's big buzz Disney is destroying the EU and just adhering to continuity from the movies. I say hooray to that.

Re: The Star Wars The Comic Book

If they want to write a comic book based on George Lucas' original idea it'd be called Flash Gordon.

Re: The Walking Dead -- "Prey" -- 3/17/13

I'm thinking only Tyreese and MAYBE MAYBE Andrea will re-connect with Rick and co. and go on the lam for survival next season.

Re: Favorite movie remake?

It's a remake. Carpenter has admitted so while also using the source material. It's very much a remake.

Re: What is your favorite recent 1 season show with a complete story?

 Sorry about that, I misread. I don't think I have a recent favorite.

Re: Kill Bill - Your take (recommendations)

Kill Bill 1 and 2 are superb masterpieces, but I prefer Vol. 2 for the ace writing, personally.

Re: Superman: The Man of Steel (D: Snyder)

No one was asking for another Raimi Spider-Man movie after SM3 either, hyuk hyuk. Raimi's Spidey movies suck and his fans have deluded themselves in to thinking they're masterpieces like Burton fans...

I'll take either of them over Kick Ass anyday.

Re: Kick-Ass 2 happening?

No way. The comic book was barely better than the movie.

What about Watchmen? That was very faithful to its source material. 300? Very faithful.

Disagree 100 percent.

Re: Kick-Ass 2 happening?

Oh god. :sarcasm: Cage brought down the whole fucking movie and ruined the tragic element of the big Daddy character. Cage is no kind of method performer. He's a waste of skin for the most part and...

Re: Big Bang Theory- The Closet Reconfiguration- 3/14/13

There have been many episodes where they've mentioned it in passing as a trait of Howard's life. He's mentioned it numerous times as well. He cites it as the reason he and his mom are so bonded in...

Re: Kick-Ass 2 happening?

Talk TO me not THROUGH me, sheesh. In either case, the movie missed the whole point of the graphic novel, and added a lot of shit to an already fractured story. The rocket pack was stupid, the...

Re: Kick-Ass 2 happening?

The rocket pack is the stupidest piece of crap plot device I've ever seen. For a movie devoted to grounding wannabe superheroes, that was beyond retarded. And turning Big Daddy from a Punisher satire...

Re: Big Bang Theory- The Closet Reconfiguration- 3/14/13

The show's central theme has always been about how screwed up these people are thanks to their parents. Penny's dad wanted a son, Amy's mom was over protective, Bernie's mom and dad are racist and...

Re: Kick-Ass 2 happening?

I really hope this is better than the first movie. They turned a serviceable graphic novel in to a terrible movie.

Kickass 2 seems to be in the right direction. More on Hitgirl and the supporting...
