Ok, that was a great finale. I'm actually looking forward to next season.

RIP Quinn

I still don't understand what Dar was trying to accomplish. Did he want Keane dead, out of power, or someone he could control.

Linus Roache showing up in Keane's office was a pretty big giveaway that next season's story would involve Keane again.

I think he wanted to discredit her so much before she was inaugurated that she would be powerless politically. He did not want her killed when he talked to the General that things were going too far.

That's my take, interested in hearing everyone else's opinion.

They were Quinn's pictures, I guess of people he cared about. The boy was John Jr., his son.

Oh, ok. So I guess next season is all about how the President IS actually an evil bitch and Dar was right afterall.

Yep, that was a really great finale. And I'm actually really interested for next season. They could have a great season if they can deliver.

The episode was almost perfect. Yeah, I almost cried with Peter's dead. But then they fast forward six weeks and we see the radio host. In previous years they would spend a lot of time in the boring details after Peter's dead. I only cared about Dar, and we quickly see what happened to him, even if he saved the President's life. But after he told Saul that he still don't trust in the President, I knew they were going that way.

And yeah, Dar's plan was to fortify the CIA, since he knew Presiden't political agenda. Things went out of control of course.

Things are not usually that black and white. Yes, the President had a political agenda that was going to affect Dar's group, and all the action from Dar's group, including the assassination attempt, and we can't forget all the things they said about her son, moved her to an extreme, to be more polarizing.

Got me wondering... do President actually have power to make arrest whoever she wants?

Interesting ending. Nice to see Dar's gut appears to be right. I sort of figured Quinn was a goner. Only so long you can have a character like that without starting to drag down the show.

I was thinking the same thing, how much of her actions at the end of the finale were a result of everything that led up to the assassination attempt, or was she really going to be an Imperical President from the start?

I know they won't do it, but it would be interesting if they did a few flashbacks of her on the campaign trail and see some of her stump speeches to see what made DarDal so suspicious of her. (Obviously she was anti-CIA)

Wow, homeland and an ep of 24 rolled up into one, really great finale. Very strong 2nd half of the season.

That was a solid finale. Looking like a Carrie vs. Keane next year?

So then why offer Carrie the job? Was that just to throw her off?

If the Creators really wanted to fuck with the audience they could have had the final shot pan away with President and then you see Brody standing there next to her. ;)

So Peter Quinn's son is named John Jr.

Huh?

It seems John is Quinn's real first name. This might have been covered on the show previously.

After Quinn first appeared and Carrie and Saul were suspicious of him they looked into him. Saul went and spoke to Julia and she identified Quinn as John and the father of her son John Jr. They found her because Quinn had the pic from the hospital of Julia and the baby in the same copy of "Great Expectations" that Carrie finds at the end with all the pics.

Well, that was definitely better than last season. Sad to see Quinn go, even though he probably shouldn't have been part of this season anyway.

I think someone understood that Quinn dying like last season was not the best for that character.

Quinn needed to go as a hero.

Wow, this was an ad paid for by a group of angry Homeland fans. It was posted in the latest Hollywood Reporter.

If that's a joke or trolling - then mission accomplished I guess.

If it's serious... I don't disagree with most of what's been written, but holy shit! Like it or hate it - it's just a show.
