Re: What anime have you watched or/are currently watching?
Two shows I was really looking forward to watching, turned out to be major disappointments. I guess I was expecting Golden Time to be more like Toradora. Unfortunately, it's got too much melodrama and not enough comedy. There's still another 12 episodes to go, so hopefully they can turn it around. The other show was Galilei Donna. I loved the first episode, but it was downhill from there.
I removed Samurai Flamenco from my list when the show turned into bit ridiculous storyline with "mutants." The show were interesting first few episodes...

I recently completed Elfen Lied and High School of the Dead. I'm in the middle of Black Lagoon, Sekirei, and Heaven's Lost Property.
Does anybody have a recommendation for something with supernatural/horror elements like Elfen Lied (as well as the strong story and characters)?

Hellsing or Hellsing Ultimate. The story isn't that strong but it has the most memorable character in anime history to cover that up. Other horror possibilities include Another or Dusk Maiden of Amnesia. Both feature stories about ghosts, though they go in completely different directions with them.

No, they are separate adaptations of the same source material. Hellsing was the older anime that got produced before the manga finished its own run, so they had to come up with an alternative story in parts. Most prefer Ultimate Hellsing, though the first Hellsing is not without its charms.

It's coming out on Blu-ray in Japan.
I am in the middle of watching Future Diary. The concept is a little hokey but I can't deny its relentless pacing reminds me of 24. My biggest problem with it is the stereotypically weak, ineffectual male protagonist so common to anime.

Haven't watched Grenadier yet and Aika was ok, but Najica is probably my 3rd or 4th favorite anime series.

Catching up on Crunchyroll shows now that I'm back in town...
Finished Arpeggio of Blue Steel and was left wanting much more, so I really hope there is a second series or at least an OVA or two to tie a few things up. The manga at least addresses the "mystery" surrounding Gunzou's father, who is only mentioned in passing at the beginning of the anime series, but presumably plays a part in Iona reaching out to Gunzou in the first place. There was also little to no clarification on much of anything about The Fog. As one Crunchyroll reviewer put it (referencing the wording in the credits): "In addition, I do not know where you come from, what you are and where you are going."
Log Horizon is also still very much holding my interest, and is beginning to give some depth to the "non-player characters" that all of the humans are trapped in the game with. There are still a lot of questions left to be answered (not the least of which is why everyone is trapped in the game), and one of the more curious aspects of the show is that the human players seem to be resigned to living within the game and are not actively looking for a way out. I'm hoping it doesn't start to fall apart in the second half.
I have one more episode of I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job to go, and I'm not loving the more serious turn the show has taken in the final episodes, although I guess it was inevitable. I normally don't go for shows as fanservice-laden as this, but I don't really mind it in this case since it is incorporated so well into the overall humor of the show.

I liked the first half of Recently, My Sister is Unusual (Episode 1). It was a typical little sister comedy. Then it turned into porn, followed by 5 minutes of a girl sitting on a toilet. I'm still kinda shocked by the whole thing.

Been working on Samurai Flamenco. This show just took a turn into crazy town, it went from level 1 to over 9000.

Re: What anime have you watched or/are currently watching?
Here's my first impressions of the new season. These are going to be my "Must Watch" shows:
Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions! REN - I love this series, and the 2nd season is off to a great start.
Engaged to the Unidentified - This might end up being my favorite show of the new season. On paper, it looks like your average high school rom/com show. But somehow it hits every note perfectly. I hope the rest is as good as the first episode.
Nisekoi - I'm a big fan of the manga, so I was really looking forward to this show. The anime is good, but not what I expected. So I'm not sure what to think about it right now.
Silver Spoon: Season 2 - I really liked the first season. Season 2 is off to a slow start. But the characters and comedy is great and I know it'll pick up.
D-Fragments - The first episode was hilarious. Some laugh out loud moments. I'm looking forward to more.
World Conquest Zvezda Plot - I really enjoyed this. It was very weird, but a lot of fun.

Here's the other new shows I'm currently watching. But I'm not totally crazy about them. And I'll probably end up dropping a couple.
Sakura Trick - It's like YuruYuri with some actual Yuri. It was fairly average. I hope it'll get better as the other characters develop.
No-Rin - Another show about farming. There was some good comedy. It has the potential to be good. But I'll need to see a few more episodes before I decide.
Noragami - The first episode was interesting. I liked the humor. I'll give it another couple episodes and see where it goes.
Witch Craft Works - It was ok, nothing special. It might get better.
Seitokai Yakuindomo: Season 2 - Non-stop sex jokes. I know a lot of people like this show. But I'm not crazy about it.
Recently, My Sister is Unusual - I like "cute girls doing cute things". Watching them pee is not cute.

Re: What anime have you watched or/are currently watching?
The shows I just finished:
The Skull Man - I thought it was interesting storyline, but it turned to not-so-interesting story at end.
Golgo 13 - I really liked this series very much.
The shows I'm currently watching:
World Conquest Zvezda Plot (see TheBigDave for link & info) - It started off pretty good, but I'd want to see how it goes next few episodes before I can declare it's good or not.
Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions! REN (see TheBigDave for link & info) - I really enjoyed the first season.
Silver Spoon Season 2 - I thought the series just okay, but there are quite several funny moments in Season 1 but I felt it's kind of boring series.
The shows I have added to my queue but haven't started watch:
Genshiken Second Season - I'm holding till I watch the first season and I don't seem to be able to find first season.
Log Horizon
