Re: Warner Brothers Blu-Ray Books on Sale!
Check the last page or so of the current amazon deals thread. Links to most of these were posted there a while ago.
There's no way to know how long the prices will last. Amazon has dropped prices on digibooks before, although many of the titles are now at their lowest-ever prices on the site. The prices could last a while or for a limited time; nothing's been specified. So if anyone sees a title they want, it's never a bad idea to jump on it quickly.

Anyone know if the BB Citizen Kane exclusive digibook will ever get a wide release? I really don't want that big box o' stuff, so I've been waiting....thanks.

Mutiny On The Bounty, a title I've been wanting to get for awhile now, showed up in my Goldbox yesterday for $18.99. These things rarely go cheaper than that, and I've never seen MotB cheaper, so I ordered it.
12 hours later I come back to find the price dropped on all these. Unfortunately I have Prime, so it already went to the shipping soon stage. I was able to call up customer service- and though she couldn't cancel it or adjust the price, she did give me a $5 promotional credit good on the next order.
Since I was going to use this round of price drops to finally pick up more of these, it worked out just fine.
Most of these titles have never been this low, and I never expected to see them at this point before they were exhausted and replaced with the regular case releases.

I have The Exorcist Book and it is by far the most definitive edition of the movie. Both versions of the movie are there and there is a shit load of bonus material.

Not trying to threadcrap but I was honestly just curious what people's opinions of digibooks are. I have some of them and they just don't seem worth the extra few bucks to me. They look nice but the quality of the info and the extra photos just haven't impressed me.
Does anyone feel there is a digibook release worth the money for content and not just because it looks cool?

Honestly, I can't recall one, that in terms of actual printed content, seemed anything more than "eh".
and yet, for some dumb reason, I've become fond of them the last few years.
I think this is mostly because in terms of form factor they are distinctive and unique. And I've always loved books- not just their content, but their form.
The ideal packaging to me is something like the Close Encounters box set.
A heavy duty slipcase containing the discs (in their own packaging) and a separate, perfect bound booklet with substantive text and graphics.
Since releases like that are just about non existent, the digibooks are a fun alternative to me.

Se7en (standard Blu) is at its cheapest $13.69 anywhere else. Color Purple is $13.49. Both are cheaper here. They're certainly not WORSE than basic, standard packaging! Not saying I'd pay more for them, but I'd certainly pay LESS than the basic version!
