I did, for To Kill a Mockingbird. Once I factored in the hassle of selling it on ebay, the $5 discount was worth it to me. The rest of the titles I turned in were dvd's that I had already replaced with Blu rays or that I intend to.

Picked up Source Code today. It was labeled $10.99 but rang up at $24.99. They changed the price to $10.99, but then the Trade-and-Save coupon would not apply.

Customer Service rep had me complete the purchase without the coupon, then pricematched it down to $5.99 as a second transaction.

picked up MI4 showed $29.99 but rang up $19.99 less the $5 for $14.99
Crazy Stupid Love and Man On Fire for $4.99 after coupon.
Reindeer Games showed $9.99 but rang up $7.99 so it wasn't available for promo but since I was buying the others with a RZ cert I splurged and paid cash for it

I did that with the last Trade In and Save promo. I wouldn't say it is always worth it. Read reviews first. But I figured, for 5 bucks it was worth upgrading any DVD that retained the extras and had a favorable review. If it is more than $5, I'd expect a huge benefit from upgrading (new extras or amazing PQ) otherwise I probably wouldn't... Different people have different criteria, but that's what I look at.

Nice find on MI4. I missed the $19.99 price on Tuesday only of last week and picked up the exclusive for $22.99.

I'll go back and buy again for $19.99 with a Trade-and-Save coupon and return on the old receipt.

Got
Psycho - $4.99
Memento - $4.99
Mission Impossible Trilogy - $14.99
Alter Bridge Live at Wembley - $11.99

Was disappointed that I couldn't find Source Code and the closest store that had it was 4hrs away. I did get Eminem's last album on vinyl for $3.99.

No problem getting the coupons, but very little selection at the Burbank, CA store. I wound up with CLOSE ENCOUNTERS Box for $9.99 and BIG LEBOWSKI Book for $7.99.

Going to do some comparison shopping on ENCOUNTERS, not sure that was a good deal or not. I remember it going for $7.99 a couple of years ago at Christmas. I may go back for EXCALIBUR for five bucks even though the transfer isn't great. Wanted the original CONAN THE BARBARIAN, but couldn't find it, just a single copy of DESTROYER.

Quick and easy. I only traded in two titles, but picked up Nikita Season One and the new Joe Satriani Blu Ray. Great way to get a little more value from old DVD's that just take up space.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012

Went for my first round and had some pleasant surprises.

Source Code - $5.99 (website priced it at $29.99 and had mt store as ben out of stock- but they had 6 on te shelf when I got there)
Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol - $14.99 (was hoping to get this on release day for $19.99 - the BBY Exclusive. Checked the shelves and the had 1 copy with a $29.99 tag on it. Went back up front and somehow missed the whole display with the movie and they were tagged at $19.99)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High - $7.99
Memento - $4.99
Rob Thomas - Live At Red Rocks - $8.99 (this was stickered at $13.99 and for some reason the $5 U&S didn't come off. Had to go to Customer Service to get a price adjust which was a little more complicated but went ok in the end).

If it's the one with the Universal 100th Anniversary slipcover it's listed as $14.99 on the website:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Fast+Tim...High&lp=1&cp=1

I made that same mistake.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012

Having pretty much bought every 9.99 titles at my local store, I've now moved on to the 10.99 titles (5.99 AC). I picked up:
Life as we Know It
Final Destination 2
Final Destination 3
Demolition Man
Saving the 5th coupon for next time, since I couldn't find anything I wanted. This store is small, and has a terrible selection compared to the other stores...

So, wait... it rang up for 19.99 or you got a price adjustment based on the shelf tag still being there?

Didn't see it at Burbank. Probably a good thing as I just paid $9.99 for it last week at Amazon.

My store had a whole display of 'Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol' blu rays set up at the front of the store all priced at $19.99 that I somehow missed when I went in to the store

Stupid question, but if I can't buy tickets from Fandango at my theater, does that mean I won't be able to use the free tickets to Five Year Engagement as well?

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save, $5 Off Blu-ray titles, Apr 22 - May 12, 2012

Has anyone tried ordering some out-of-stock catalog titles from a physical store with this trade-in deal? I know the first post restrictions state "Valid on in-stock Blu-ray movies only," but it also states the price is taken from the original Best Buy price, and we know that's not true.

There's four Blu titles listed on the Best Buy website as being $9.99, but I cannot locate them as in stock at any of my nearby locations. I'm wondering if I went to customer service with four DVDs to trade in, would they allow me to special order/prepay for those four movies and I just come in to pick them up when they arrive in a week or so?

Stupid answer, you have to buy the tickets from Fandango. If you don't have a theater in your area that uses Fandango, then yes, the movie money is no good to you.

Don't have one yet, was thinking about making a trek for that Lebowski upgrade, but now I'm not sure.

I have some theater locations that CAN, and some that CAN'T, and they are the same theater chain. I found that to be interesting... Personally, I will try to use those at AMC (we only have ONE), since I can book online without fees with my Stubs card, and the Fandango bucks count toward my rewards accrual.
