Same here. Was going to look for some of the three packs that were not on sale last time along with some WWE titles that are listed for 9.99 online, but no such luck finding them.

I did go in and pick up...

Falling Skies(14.99)
Limitless(4.99)
Firefox/Heartbreak Ridge(4.99)

Then used $20 in RZ cert I had from the facebook polls/promo to get them all for $5.31

The stock really hasn't changed much from the last U&S sale. I have two coupons and it's difficult finding two movies I actually want that I don't already own. Take away the Sony budget discs for $9.99 and Best Buy would have an incredibly mediocre selection.

Thanks but no way I pay even $19.99 for that. I will wait until it drops to $14.99.

Thanks for the info.

The problem I have had in the past is that my local BBY does not have good stock and to make a 30 minute trip every day is just too much. A couple of times I have had luck in allowing them to do multiple 5-DVD trade-ins in a single day. The time they would not allow me to do it, I simply bought everything at full price and did a return/rebuy at my local BBY to apply the coupon. I admit I finagle the system, but I am not going to spend $5 in gas every day to adhere to their rules.

If some CSR said this to me, I would call up corporate and report them on the spot. Nothing in the terms state where you can and cannot purchase DVDs to trade in.
I would have called corporate if I didn't get the trade-in. Probably stems from the fact I bought about 25-30 titles last U&S and traded in a bunch of DT DVDs. This BBY is always trying to deny things or change the rules. I just wish they didn't have the best stock of any BBY in my area.

My location had an entire cardboard endcap display with all the WWE blu rays... they were not with the other blu rays. Ive loaded up on about 7 titles this week alone

But still, how would they know the DVDs came from DT? Even if the titles you trade in look like something that would only be worth a $1(or less) there's no indication of where you bought them from or whether they are from your personal collection. Unfortunately my DT has been dried up of DVDs but I've got some PD titles I picked up years ago for 25-50 cents a piece that I can trade in, I just wish I had a store closer than an hour drive away so I could take part in this promo.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save 4/21/13 - 5/11/13

Picked up Willow (7.99). Mine had a slip cover, but it was torn. It was the only one on the shelf. I did find others, but none of those had slips at all.

Took forever, though. Person who greeted me at the door sent me to the CS desk where I waited almost ten minutes to be told to just go find something to U&S. Found the movie within a minute or so, went back to the CS desk where the wait was even longer. Then, to their benefit, they sent me over to the checkouts and had someone run a coupon over for me there so I didn't have to wait. Poor execution here, but at least I didn't have to argue with anyone.

Re: Best Buy Upgrade & Save 4/21/13 - 5/11/13

1st haul:
after U&S using DT DVDs
Tropic Thunder (4.99)

I got this from the BB closest to my house, which has a smaller selection. I tried to get a few items via Express Lane to have them shipped to me, but they wouldn't let me use U&S for them. I also couldn't get The Thing for 4.99 because it had an $8 Fandango cash for Oblivion. I was nice and didn't bother pushing it and went to another store farther away that has a much better selection and found the 3 titles I tried to have shipped. I got:

The Evil Dead (4.99)
Evil Dead 2 (4.99 - they were nice and also let me price match amazon's 9.99 to knock off $3)
Army of Darkness (4.99)
I Saw the Devil (4.99)
I Spit on Your Grave 1978 & 2010 2-pack (9.99)

$21.40 after $10 RZ GCs from FB app

2nd haul:
Jackie Brown (4.99)
The Thing (4.99 - no Fandango cash, but I don't care)
Heat (4.99)
Braveheart (4.99)
Se7en (4.99)

3rd haul:
Batman (4.99)
Almost Famous (4.99)
The Goonies (4.99)

4th haul:
The Untouchables (4.99)
American History X / History of Violence (4.99)
The Great Escape (4.99)
The Town (4.99)

I got these from the BB right near my house, as they got some more titles in stock and increased their selection a bit. Used a $5 FB RZ cert to make this $16.04 out the door.

5th haul:
Eyes Wide Shut (4.99)
The Blind Side (4.99)
Breakfast at Tiffany's (4.99)
Taxi Driver (4.99)
Zodiac (2-Disc Director's Cut) (7.99)

I got these from a BB farther away that really cut down their Blu-ray shelf space this weekend and got rid of several titles I was planning to buy.

I'm really running out of things of interest in store and exhausted the DVD stock of the DT near my house. I think this will be my last U&S run, but I may pick up a couple of the $4.99 sale titles like Donnie Darko and Benny & Joon.

What's the likelihood Django Unchained will drop to $20 before this is over?

Target has TNG S3 for $59.99 -plus- $10 off if you buy Best of Both Worlds ($14.99) at the same time.

That will be the way to go for me.

Edit: The Target ad says "The Best of Both Worlds" is DVD, but no DVD is being released. It's a typo.

My BBs are spaced about 8-10 miles apart whereas my Targets are about every 4 miles apart. On my normal commute path (which is unfortunately fairly long) there are 2 BBs within a reasonable range, but getting to 1 of them is usually a traffic pain. So when I do U&S (which so far has only been once with 7 BDs) I prefer to do it at the most convenient location rather than drive around a bunch, especially because of the 5 U&S limit. Things like The Sandlot only exists at 1 store in my area which is about 13 miles away which isn't worth the drive. Like others say, you can usually get around the 5 U&S limit, but it was nice to have a couple employees who I knew were cool and wouldn't care at the nearest store.

I'm aware of 8 BBs in a 33 mile radius of where I live. I don't know if that's considered "a lot", but given the population level here I think it seems a bit low. 3 of them are at the extremes so I rarely visit them. That leaves me with 1 close by (the strictest of all the stores), 1 a couple miles away if I go on a different commute path, and 3 at least 8 miles away in areas I rarely go. I guess it all depends on one's driving tolerance, and mine is low.

I picked up Shark Night mainly because Sara Paxton is in it.

Abduction was a blind buy. Seemed worth $4.99 to me.

Haul #3:

Land of the Lost - $4.99
Baytown Outlaws - $4.99
Wild Pacific - $14.99 (missed the DOTD)
Yellowstone: Battle for Life - $14.99
Galapagos - $14.99

I've never had a problem with my Best Buy taking any dvd I've brought in for this trade in promo. From the sound of it though, I would say that the people at my BB are more on the ball than others. What I usually do to stock up on dvds for this is to buy cheap lots off auctions..my last batch came out to 70 cents each including the shipping.

There are half a dozen or so DVDs that come in thin cases and aren't really sold anywhere else. If a person turns in five of them, you can be pretty sure where they came from. Especially if they're all the same title.

The DVDs in regular cases are a different story. They number in the hundreds and have been/still are sold at other major retailers. The average Best Buy employee is going to have no way of knowing that the copy of 11:59 or Direct Contact in your hand likely came from DT.

Quick question...does Best Buy go by title or number of discs when trading in DVDs? If I turn in, say, a special edition DVD with 2 discs, will I get two $5 coupons, or only one?

If you have box sets or individually cased seasons, each separately cased disc counts. For example, let's say you had the old Stargate TV series, and you wanted to get rid of Season 1... Season 1 is 5 discs, each disc is invidually cased within the season box. You could take them out of the box and turn in those 5 volumes and get 5 coupons.
