Shit sale this time out. If I do get anything it will be old items like Death Wish 2 4K and Madman 4K discs.

If anyone wants Roadhouse with the fancy packaging, they might want to jump on it. Down to 390 copies left.

I just wound up getting the fifth volume of Forgotten Gialli along with the UHD set of A Blade in the Dark (which cost nearly as much as the box set of 3 movies!).

I wish VS would be as competitive in pricing as Kino.

Yep. You can get some of the VS stuff cheaper on Hamiltonbook at times. Hamilton is having a new drop on 29th so I'll wait and see if they have any VS stuff or do price cuts before deciding whether or not to order on this sale.

Blowitoutahere on ebay too. I was eyeing their Cloak and Dagger 4K - $25 but buy two get 15% off. Which makes it about $21..way less than VS's sale.

Anyone get a shipping notice yet for any orders placed?

Not yet. But they normally ship out to subscribers first, pre-orders second, everyone else third. I didn't order anything from the partners sale, and only have 1 title from the halfway sale added to my Showgirls pre-order. I believe those orders along with Blade in the Dark and The Boogeyman will also ship together.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome 'Half Way to Black Friday' 50% Sale

If you’ve been feverishly anticipating our (second) biggest event of the year, Halfway to Black Friday, its first breath of life is just around the corner as our 2024 Halfway to Black Friday Flash Pre-Order will be going live at exactly 12:01 AM EST on Friday, March 15th and running through 11:59 PM EST on Monday, March 18th!

The Pre-Order will reveal our next VSU (a star-studded action epic), two VS releases (including the previously announced UHD double feature of CHINA O’BRIEN 1+2 starring Cynthia Rothrock), along with our May Cinématographe release, which brings to Blu-ray a stirring drama by a genre film and arthouse legend. As always, Flash Pre-Order pricing will be discounted compared to the pricing on these releases during the Halfway Sale itself. That means: order now and save!

Of course, the Flash Pre-Order will also offer you the opportunity to secure your copies of this year’s first set of Secret Surprise Releases, along with a clue or two as to their identity. As always, we try our best to line up the most unexpected and intriguing films as the Surprise titles and this time is no different. But in order to take your first shot at guessing, you’ll need to wait until the initial clue(s) are unveiled.

To prepare for the Pre-Order of your preference, here are the anticipated ordering options:
  • Option 1: Pre-Order Everything at the heaviest discount (includes the VSU, Cinématographe, and four VS titles (two announced and two Secret releases)
  • Option 2: Individual listings for the new VSU, Cinématographe and the two individual VS titles (one of which being CHINA O'BRIEN 1&2)
  • Option 3: A package for just the two Secret Surprise VS releases
Remember, with all three ordering options you'll save compared to purchasing the same releases during the Halfway Sale in May. And, as usual, Flash Pre-Order participants will have their entire Halfway Sale order haul ship immediately after Subscribers.

Nothing that can’t wait for a sale. And even then, probably not this batch or the last two. Then again, I often overload on stuff I don’t need (or want) to see in $10-15 sales, so anything’s possible!

A lot of people mistake the "Halfway to Black Friday Flash" for the sale itself.

Not this time. I’ll be curious to see what the two remaining titles are, but since they typically lead with the heaviest hitters, I’m not sure they’ll be anything too mind-blowing.

I think A Blade in the Dark from last year is the most recent Halfway or Black Friday title that really grabbed me.
