Re: Severin Blow-Out Sale on 5 Titles Going OOP

They never shipped my order. Anyone know if they are still working on orders?

Re: Severin Blow-Out Sale on 5 Titles Going OOP

^My understanding is they are still working on orders. One guy handling supposedly around 5,000 orders. I just got mine the other day and I was in there very early on the first morning. I was also told that they are waiting on some more stock to come in to fulfill the rest of the orders.

Just send them a friendly email to check the status. He usually responds within 24 hours.

Re: Severin Blow-Out Sale on 5 Titles Going OOP

I emailed them on friday.
Maybe it did something as I just got an email that my order is complete. Does that mean it shipped? there is no tracking information.

I had forgotten that I had actually even ordered from them until I came upon this thread on Friday evening. I emailed them and got an immediate response indicating that they had just gotten stock in and one person was handling 5,000 orders. He said he'd get the orders out by the end of the weekend. Then overnight I got another email indicating it had been processed followed a few hours later by another email with actual tracking information.

I just got a shipping notice on my second order, my first shipped weeks ago. SO the orders are still trickling out.

Mine was shipped on the 24th and just arrived at my door. The nick of time to watch The House of Seven Corpses for today's theme in our Horror Challenge.

Got my shipping notice tonight. I'm a little ashamed to admit that I forgot I'd ordered it.

Wow, the Horror Express blu looks really great--and I've owned that movie in numerous previous less-than-stellar versions.

And, what a great horror flick---certainly in my top 10. Telly Savalas rules!

Yeah, I was pretty surprised too. The reviews led me to believe this disc was a stinker so I held off a purchase for quite a long time. I guess I am happy I waited since I acquired it during this clearance at such a bargain price but it shows that not all people perceive things in the same fashion.

Re: Severin Blow-Out Sale on 5 Titles Going OOP

Got mine a while ago. Took exactly a month I think. I need to get at least one watched during October. Deciding among bloody birthday, horror express (due to comments here) and psychomania (nostalgia).

Side note- looked through magazines at bookstore today, psychomania (movie and rerelease combo disk) is on the cover of two or three of the horror/movie mags. (second side note, there are quite a few horror/movie mags).

Severin Films Warehouse Clearance Sale

Just got an email from them about this (and yes, I know it was posted in the Cult deals thread, but I don't look there as often as I do at dedicated threads, so no harm either way ). Runs May 26 - 29, 2017. Looks like a bunch of mix-and-matched bundles, DVD and a couple of Blu-Rays.

https://severin-films.com/

9 for $80
12 for $90

SATAN'S BABY DOLL
MANSION OF THE LIVING DEAD
LAURE
BLACK VENUS
THE STUNT MAN (Blu)
GESTAPO'S LAST ORGY
SHOPPING (Blu)
DEPORTED WOMEN OF THE SS SPECIAL SECTION
ONCE UPON A GIRL
JOY
JOY & JOAN
VANESSA

Any thoughts on these titles? To be honest, I don't know hardly any of them.

Re: Severin Films Warehouse Clearance Sale

The only title I own on that list and can highly recommend is "The Stuntman" ...even if I am still hoping for a better representation of the film in the future.

Re: Severin Films Warehouse Clearance Sale

I only own Vanessa and Laure out of these and they are ok but not as good as anything Black Emmanuelle. I guess I am going to go for the 9/$80. And drop the 2 I own and Joy & Joan which a cursory glance reveals less than stellar reviews.

Re: Severin Films Warehouse Clearance Sale

Was ready to get the whole shebang like I did last time they did this, til I realized that only TWO of these are Blu-Ray (and I have The Stunt Man on laserdisc and CED already on top of that.) Hard to justify bringing in more DVDs unless it's something really good that won't ever be on a better format. (Last year's sale was the opposite- only 2 DVDs and the rest Blu-Rays or sets of both.)

Why can't they just have a page of the titles that ARE INCLUDED, versus having to do the homework ourselves.

Just disregard the first five pages of products listing on their state-of-the-art website

I am still pissed about getting burned for the "rare item from the archives" that was a fucking enamel pin.

Any Intervision recommendations? I'd like to try out a few if I could ever get past the database errors.
