The ORBIT DVD Store Deals Thread

Was searching for a copy of the Imprint 4disc limited set which is going from$150 and up on sites, and seems Out of Stock on most sites, BUT , just ordered 1 @ Orbit dvd which still has some in stock @ $89.99!
Got a10% off first purchase , about $85 shipped for any one who might want a copy before they are gone-…(2000) copies I believe.

Seems 100% accurate to me. Great selections, customer service, communication, etc. Making a trip back home to Fl. from Ct. in a few weeks and making it a point to stop by the store in Ashville, NC and grab some discs in peson.

WELCOME10 Is that 10% off code.

First time ordering from this site. But finally getting a special edition of this after lamenting about not picking up that wooden one years ago.

I put in an order for this before they sell out.

By "region free," does that mean everything is region free, including the special features?

That is so tempting but still a lot of money for 1 film, and not one that's an easy re-watch.

I do have that wooden box from Anchor Bay, and I took the two DVDs from that and combined it with the Blu-ray of the Final Cut for my own special edition.

Yeah, I'm going back and forth on it. I do still have the wooden box and final cut Blu-ray. Maybe I'll try to hold out for the 4k release. You know it's coming!

re: The ORBIT DVD Store Deals Thread

Gotta say very fast delivery. Set is really nice. No bells and whistles but amazing content! The bonus disc is worth it alone IMO, and like the CD. Never knew the long version/print may have never surfaced if it were not alot of input and zeal by Christopher Lee himself and thankfully Roger Corman. Just so much great info on this disc. Again highly recommended before gone in you like this film. Transfers are excellent as well.

Thriller A Cruel…4k OOP?

Just another Orbit dvd heads up if any one is still interested in Vinegar Syndrome’s 4k/BR LE box which is OOP… They have a few VERY mildly damaged edge of case for$59.99 and its already going for more than twice that amount, they show pics and I grabbed one. Love this place!

Babadook 4k Limited Ed. Second Sight Orbit dvd

For anyone interested…Again they have “ damaged” copies of this OOP set for $74.95! Going for Alot more most everywhere. Photos show VERY minimal denting on one edge of case! I just received my order of “ damaged” Vinegar Syndromes “ Thriller a cruel…” 4 disc set,( they still have a few copies of this as well-$59.99), and gotta say it looked new and really could not locate the minor dent they showed when I ordered it! Definately grabbed one of a few copies available.

The Seventh Curse 88 films limited edition OOP… Not everywhere!

Almost every sight has this really nice limited edition of 88 films Deluxe set OOS , But again Orbit dvd has a few copies listed as “damaged”- pics shown $29.99. I have ordered quite a few “ damaged” titles from them and the pics do not do them justice as the ones I have received,(Thriller a cruel…, Babadook most recently), and all of them have looked essentially brand new for anyone interested before they sell out!

Re: The Seventh Curse 88 films limited edition OOP… Not everywhere!

Already have this, but this looks like the only option for those who want it at this point. The damage does seem extensive though, on nearly all sides of the box. I’d imagine all the stuff inside is reasonably intact. Nice that Orbit includes pics; Diabolik recently had a batch of damaged TIGER CAGE I-III sets, but instead of posting a pic or two, they posted a warning box on the listing, essentially saying that if you’re sensitive to damage these sets aren’t for you, or something close to that. Much better to show people exactly what they’re getting in these instances.

Again my experience is that the pics they show are of multiple different copies. Wish I could show the titles I mentioned I received from them, cause they just dont exhibit the damage that was shown! Both the Babadook set and Thriller set look Undamaged vs. what little damage I saw in the pics when I ordered them. The pics Orbit shows seem over emphasize the very mnute damage ,IF ANY, I have seen in the sets I ordered. I have ordered “ broken cases” of BR they sell,(Basic Instinct for one), that looked exactly like the pics they show, and I just replace the case as contents are pristine in my experiences with them. Not sure what you were looking at BUT to me HARDLY look like “Extensive” damage you are seeing??

It looked extensive because I thought the pics were all from the same case. I don't think they specified that each pic was from a different box. Obviously that changes things. And had I missed out on this title, I probably would've jumped on one of these regardless, and from the sounds of it I would've been pleasantly surprised. I've had the same experience with Diabolik. As noted above, they don't post pics – which sucks – and instead post vague descriptions along the lines of "you probably won't like this" and yet, I've ordered a couple of "damaged" items in the past and have found them to be in 'like new' condition when I received them, with the 'damage' barely visible. I much prefer Orbit's method, but they either need to clarify that the pics come from different items – because collectively they absolutely DO look like extensive damage all over the case – or I somehow missed that.

15% off Orbit DVD (and potentially free shipping)

Orbit DVD has a one-time-use 15% off coupon -- CHASE. It stacks with the 3FREE coupon, which gives free shipping if you order 3 or more items.

I love their brick-and-mortar storefront and have recently had a terrific experience ordering with them online.

Drive 4k Limited Edition Box Set Available at Orbit DVD!

For anyone interested and might not have this yet… I saw this edition listed at Orbit dvd under “ damaged” but no info or pix… When I contacted them, they relayed they have found some left over copies and are NOT damaged just that they had a few copies left over at $79.99 So I jumped on one before they are gone.
