Bewitched-2nd Season (b&w) $ 22.28
Muppet Show-1st Season (se) $ 22.29
Battlestar Galactica-1st Season $ 32.55
Arrested Development-2nd Season $ 23.08
South Park-6th Complete Season $ 21.35
South Park-5th Complete Season $ 28.80
El Diablo $ 4.79 (Cheap and Funny. Great Blind Buy!!!)
Enigma-mcmxc Ad Complete Album Dvd $ 11.51

I feel stupid that I just noticed this. I have NO movies. All TV stuff. Well, "El Diablo" is a movie, but it was a cable TV movie. And Enigma is videos, that people see on TV!

Everybodys list has alot of a TV on it. You ever get the impression that the Big Wigs never really thought that Joe Public would buy TV on DVD like we do? Now they know, but when they started I can just hear an exec say, "Why would they buy something they can watch for free?!?"

Oh well. Any TV DVD that is great quality, and has good features will sell.

And in the case of Farscape, a DVD FOR sale will sell.

CFG!

PS, ALSO, anybody else, like me, looking at some of these titles and thinking to themselves "I think I'll wait for HD-DVD?" I know I am, right or wrong.

A comment and a question:

Comment: Not to look a gifthorse in the mouth, but the Scooby Doo set was $38 last week! They jacked it up to $47 and with the 20% off I'm right back where I was last week! Some "discount"! lol

Question: I've been waiting for months to buy the Buffy complete series set here. It's still a "preorder" b/c it doesn't come out until 11/15 (I tried buying it tonight and didn't get the discount). I assume if I order in 4 days I'll be able to get the discount, right? Now will they jack THAT price up to $175 so the 20% will take me back to the $140 it's currently listed at?? :^(

My first order shipped via overnight shipping earlier today. Any chance UPS will actually deliver it tomorrow (Saturday)? I know they haven't in the past, but I figure that Saturday delivery might be included in this sale - plus, the email said that tomorrow would be the expected arrival date, and the route thus far when tracking the order matches that of the order that shipped on Thursday via overnight (Buffy set).

ctowner1-

Is your "Adventures of Superman-1st Season the live action or animated series? If it's the animated series, you'll find a far better deal through Best Buy's website.

Order #3:

NAPOLEON DYNAMITE $ 13.10 1 $ 13.10
MOZART-PRAGUE SYMPHONY $ 9.98 1 $ 9.98

I guess I'll wait until Tuesday to decide about The Sound of Music, and if I see anything in anyone else's order that looks interesting.

Live action....haven't seen any price close to $22.29 complete (thanks for the suggestion in any event, though).

I wonder what’s going to be in the Deluxe Edition that wasn’t in the limited edition? My question is whether it’s worth selling the first set now in order to get the second one.

You really need to read the book, it’s at great psychological story (if you’re not familiar with it, the movie is based on a true story, the book was written by one of the survivors).

From the first thread, post #299:

If that’s really the price you paid, you might consider sending DDD an email, everybody else paid $23.91. (arsmith7’s purchase was one of the first, so there might have been a price adjustment afterwards).

As for what I’m looking at (but haven’t yet bought)…

Firefly – complete series $23.91
Eerie Indiana – complete series $16.78
4400 – Complete 1st Season $10.84

And I'm thinking about Wonderfalls ($25.97 before 20% discount)

Hahahahahha I found this title "GOLDEN GIRLS-LIFETIME INTIMATE POR" on DDD it should be "portrait", obviously too many characters, but my mind immeadiately added the N...now wouldn't that be sick!!!

Also, have any of you found the Beatles Anthology DVD on DDD?? I just wanted to know if I'm going crazy or if it is not on there.

someone had posted about titles disappearing from Wish Lists. I just noticed that the complete Upstairs Downstairs was missing from my own. Looks like they may have bumped the price up a bit too. Still..at $140 down to $112....it's awfully tempting (I have about 90% on taped-off-TV VHS)...

Also debating on the 2 big Hitch collections...

And Decalogue....

decisions...decisions....

Can anyone recommend some good history DVDs? I haven't had a great history teacher since the sixth grade (way back in the mid-90s), but I've gotten into more aspects of it outside of school in the last year and want to pick up some good history-related DVDs.

For frame of reference, I find things like the Civil War, US Presidents, and World War I & II. So simplified, US History.

I've already got the PBS three-discer A House Divided, but nothing much else.

More requests later, but for now, I'll stick with the history.
Ken Burns' Civil War and The West are outstanding. I can not reccomend The West highly enough. It is awesome.

Vietnam: A Television History - Amazing deal on this with the sale - over 50% off.

THe First World War: Complete Series - from the BBC, the definitive doc on the War to end all wars...ten hours for $25!

American Experience - Great War

THe War At Home

Probably the definitive for WWII is: The World at War. http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/redir...fier=ANE071374

Liberty! The American Revolution is great.

I really like Founding Brothers too....good stuff on founding fathers you don't hear every day. There's a set called Founding Fathers that's also good.

RIC BURNS-DONNER PARTY

Lewis and Clark - Great Journey West

Ended up only getting 1 item

DARK SHADOWS-REVIVAL SERIES $ 23.88 1 $ 23.88

I wanted to get some of the WB TV box sets, but (as others have stated), the prices have gone sky high. Nip/Tuck Season 1, West Wing Seasons 1 and 2 used to be sub-$20, now they're at $43.xx, which is even more expensive than the newer season releases (Nip/Tuck Season 2 and the later seasons of West Wing are cheaper). Can't really fathom that pricing strategy. "Guaranteed lowest total price".... not so sure about that when Amazon still has these for under $20.

I'm betting they will be exactly the same except different packaging and not limited. I mean, how much could they possibly add onto a disc that's being re-released a mere month after the first run?

Ducktales and C&D Rescue Rangers are officially on. Can't find them via the search option, but if you go to new releases and then click the letters, they're there - and at $23.89 BEFORE the 20% off - already the cheapest I've seen either anywhere.
