Well, actually it's 43.75% off.... Here's the blurb from Kino:

DVD Talk Legend
From the Cartoon Noir description:
EDIT:
From the DVDTalk review:
Ape:
A darkly comic animation, Ape features a grouchy, married couple who battle daily over their nightly dinner - a cooked, whole monkey!

From the DVDTalk review:
Ape
This short piece is the sickest on the disc, but not to any overt purpose besides fulfilling its own unsavory tone. Two unpleasant people argue about their daily meal, which consists of one cooked monkey. Eventually the subject comes 'round to an accusation that the wife is having sex with the monkey corpse before chow time; it's not as shocking or as provoking as it sounds, but more of a mentally oppressive expression of human relationships. The color style changes for a moment where the wife garnishes the monkey with a flower, so the tone isn't all ugly faces and off-putting dialogue. Savant has seen some intentionally horrid & nasty animations (thanks to some unscheduled awfulness at Savant Secret Cinema) and this is neither that bad nor without possible merit. However, the film might be a good icebreaker for a get-together of uncommunicative serial killers.

Update
Hmm, I guess this was a big yawn amidst all the other sales. Just wanted to give an update. I ordered a few things, got a great price and free shipping. They came exactly 1 week later. BUT, I am stunned everything was in one piece. They basically threw the loose DVDs into a way-too-big barely padded shipping envelope that had clearly been used before (still had other labels) and was filthy and ripped in several places. Came via Fed Ex, and as I said, everything was fine, no thanks to them.

I've never ordered from them, but the description of the packaging sounds pretty suspect (enough to be cautious). Also...before ordering, you might want to check out DVDPlanet. I was playing around with a few items & did a comparison with DVDPlanet (using Google Checkout). DVDPlanet's prices were equal to or lower than First Run even with First Run's coupon applied. Of course, you have to be sure DVDPlanet has the item in stock before using the -$10 Google checkout. All but one of the items I was interested in were in stock, so I would play it safe & order from DVDPlanet rather than take a chance from First Run. Still, it's always good to have options, so I appreciate the OP taking the time to post the deal...still might come in handy.

Harold, thank you for posting this. I didn't see the thread when it first appeared but caught it this morning and placed a fairly large order. I had been wanting The Up Series for quite awhile and had never seen such a good price on it (55% off). I also picked up The Internationale, The Devil's Miner, and Margarette's Feast.

So are you saying that these dvds weren't even sealed? I was thinking of getting the up series (works out to be $45 after discount) - but I don't want loose dvds...
I was thinking about the Up series as well - wanted that for a long time. It's a box set already, so who knows how they'd send it. You could probably call and ask. I did get the free shipping option- presumably the quality might better for the paid options.

I ordered from here on 12/11, and I haven't received my order. I have only received an email order confirmation dated 12/11 and my credit card was charged on 12/12. Is anyone else still waiting for their order?
