Just got a notice that the reductions will be increasing at my local Borders. Does this mean that they'll be moving to 40% off everything now?

I doubt they'll hit 40% off anytime soon. The email I got said everything will be 25-50% off, so I expect most things will be 25% off.

The two I have been to so far in Illinois (Norridge and Mt. prospect) was as if a tornado hit both of them. Everything all scattered around and not going back until those discounts come down some more. Starting at least 40% and higher.

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly
Kinda BS, because until this whole thing is over, all they had to do is state "all purchases need a receipt for return at all existing locations." and stamp "all sales final" on said receipts. But that's too hard for Borders.
So i, too, will wait until prices go down. If they're gonna damage manga and other art books, it better be $2-3 for me to accept random pen marks on 'em.

40% in store coupon valid from 3/25/11-3/28/11
http://www.bordersmedia.com/coup/201...id=SA_20110325
I don't know whether or not it works at stores that are closing so that part is YMMV.

Stopped at the Borders in Mt. prospect, IL today and everything is now 40-60% off and they had an additional 10% off as well, but the pickings are getting slimmer and slimmer by the day though. Figuring these closing stores will be around until Easter...just an educated guess.

One of my stores is closing on Wednesday, and another one next Sunday. Not sure about the 3rd store. The one closing Wed. is everything at 60-75% off as of today (but they were closed for the day when I got there). The one closing next Sunday is at 40-60% off (as of Saturday--I didn't go there today) and they were running that "additional 10% off" deal as well. However, I learned that if you are paying with Borders Bucks you do NOT get the additional 10% off. I made two purchases before I realized this. The first time, I thought they just screwed up. After the 2nd time, I confirmed my suspicion. BD's were at 50% off at that store. I bought French Connection II for $8.49. My Borders Bucks were expiring 3/31 so I was compelled to buy something.

My store hit 80% off EVERYTHING today. 3 days left, but I have no reason to go back after today. I grabbed anything and everything I would have wanted. I got Sunshine Cleaning BD for $4, Life S1 for $6, and Penn & Teller Bullshit S6 for $6, plus some books, and a bag of D&D dice for $1.30 just for the hell of it (I haven't played that in over 20 years, but I figured the dice could come in handy some day).

Our local closing store was at 40% off of almost everything plus 10% of the total.
I picked up Roxy Music's Siren and For Your Pleasure at about $4 a piece, Dylan Unplugged for $3 and Dylan's Christmas In The Heart for $3. Probably won't go back though
