Went to Bestbuy today and saw:

Naruto Uncut DVD Box Set 5 Special Edition - $37.99
Inuyasha Complete Delux Movies Box Set (Wooden Box) - $54.99

I might come back to get the Naruto BS 5 SE. I still want the Special Edition better than normal edition.

Is it because you like the figurine that much? I never understood who bought these Viz special editions. The Death Note ones, I guess, seem pretty cool, as the figures are big, but the Naruto ones are tiny, and they price difference is pretty large. I bit on the first season Inuyasha Limited Edition, thinking that it would have different packaging or something, and ended up paying a premium for a necklace...

Same for Bleach season 1, if I knew they were going to release the same thing for cheaper without the necklace, I would have waited...

I see Right Stuf has listed the Rumbling Hearts Box Set for $17

any recommendations on this title?

It has good numbers on ANN (AnimeNewsNetwork), are those number well deserved?

Heavy on the melodrama. One of my favorite series from last year. I paid over $50 for the singles and didn't rue it. Easily worth $17!

Yeah, I forgot about those for Wal-Mart B&M. Regardless, it's YMMV on the first 2 sets for either InuYasha and/or Naruto.

I also recommended. Like what SBJ said, it's heavy on melodrama.

For others, here is the TRSI link as now it's now in the Bargain Bin...

Not a bargain, but an interesting tidbit that I stumbled across today that I thought was worth mentioning. IFC is airing Hell Girl for free if you have Cable OnDemand. My cable system(Charter) is currently running episodes 6 through 11(perfect for me since I only have volume 1 on DVD).

Comcast HD OnDemand is running these as well along with Speedgrapher and Samurai 7. It's pretty easy to tell that out of all these series only Samurai 7 is HD, the other two are upscaled SD.

This is pretty much as cheap as it going to get. If you catch the right deal you may be able to get the six singles at a cheaper rate without the artbox. There is no word of whether this will be be picked up for distribution by FUNimation. This is one of the best Geneon release that has came out in the last couple years.

Samurai 7 Viridian collection for 25.89 at Deepdiscount. It also has a pre-order date of 8/26 for some reason.

You have a bad link here. Due to affiliate linking with DD and the forum, people who edit/preview DD hyperlinks will get a weird bad link.

As for the so-called pre-order date, it's actually normal. Every and then, DD place allocated products on alternate release dates. It usually occurs to products that are part of a sale/promotion.

And here is a working link:
Samurai 7: Complete Collection (Viridian): $25.89

This is most likely a big YMMV, but I picked up a copy of the Beck: Complete Series set at FYE tonight for $29.99; there were a number of copies, all stickered as such. It's going for $60 on their website, and is still over $40 everywhere else...

It's probably a huge YMMV. Nevertheless that is a great price for this series if one could get it at that pricing.
