I was in FYE (Tower Place, Cincinnati OH) today and noticed they had replenished the "bargain bins". You know, the DVDs marked with a sticker that says "Budget Bargain DVDs" and are priced at $6.97 or lower.

Well, for ages they've been stuffed with "TERMINATOR 3 - Fullscreen" discs (Ha!), but today I finally came across a deal!

In the bin I found:

THE MIST (2-Disc Collector's Edition)... $6.97
CITY OF VIOLENCE (2-Disc Ultimate Edition)... $6.97
BLADE 2 (2-Disc Platinum Edition)... $6.97

Best of all, there was a sign on the bin that said "3 FOR $10"!!

Of course I picked them up!

I still had a little cash left so I also picked up:

SUKIYAKI WESTERN DJANGO (Steelcase) ... $11.99

It was on the "New Release" display and was marked with a red "On Sale" sticker and no rebates are involved. Why they'd put such a low price on this Steelcase is beyond me.

All I know is that I was happy to get what I got. Luckily there were enough copies in the bin that I was able to leave additional copies of each for the lucky shoppers who get there first.

No idea if this is posted anywhere else but they have a b1g1 free Tv sale on select discs also at my store. They had some pretty good deals. Weeds season 1 and 2 were below Best Buy's black Friday price of 14.99. Without the membership discount even. Also they had a buy 2 get 3rd free on used dvds at my store. Sorry if this is posted elsewhere.

I went to the FYE in Downtown Crossing - Boston today and found the same 3 for $10 bin described by the OP.

They had only three Dragon Dynasty titles to choose from: Fatal Contact, One-Armed Swordsman, and My Young Auntie. I also remembering seeing a couple of copies of The Mist 2-disc.

Also found the Sukiyaki Western Django steelbooks for $11.99. It wasn't on the New Titles shelf, but I found many copies in the Action/Adventure section.

Was in FYE last night, saw the 3/$10 bin, it had some titles mentioned, including the 2 disc edition of The Mist. I was going to pick up Hang 'Em High but the only copy was a floater and thats all I was interested in seeing as I have The Mist.

Also saw 2 copies of Sukiyaki for $11.99 in the steelbook. 3 other copies didn't have the sale sticker and were marked 19.99

Don't bother going to the FYE at Huntington Beach at SoCal. The same titles as at Big Lots are the ones in the 3 for 10 bin.

rich-y, thanks for one of the best posts ever!!!! I went to one at the mall in South Burlington, Vermont, and they had nothing. Went to the downtown mall in Burlington in a much smaller, crappier one and they had the bin! Got 1408 2 disc, City of Violence 2 disc, and Mist 2 disc for $10! Didn't see the Sukiyaki, though bummer.

Swung by the FYE in Redwood City, CA and they had cases of used DVDs out with a 3 for $20. A good wide variety of films from the 1940s to this year.

They also had a ton of Sukiyaki steel books in the Action Adventure section. They had all three different steelbook covers there if you are interested, for $11.99. I picked up the traditional one with the Sukiyaki gang on the cover.

no deal going on at my FYE. although they had MIST, 1408 and CITY OF VIOLENCE, they werent in the bin, nor would they ring up at the 3 for 10 bucks price. darn!

The FYE near me had City of Violence, but it wasn't in the bin and was ~$30. I've already got The Mist, so I settled on 1408 2-disc, THX 1138 - The George Lucas Director's Cut (2-Disc Special Edition), and a widescreen unrated copy of the Black X-Mas remake from a few years back. I was going to pick up the 2 disc of Terminator 3 until I realized that they only had the Full Screen Version. I also saw the 2 disc version of Get Shorty in the bin if anybody's looking for it.
