Thanks, I'll probably try that too tomorrow. But now I'm curious why the cover for the regular version listed 4 discs while the Steelbook only listed 3 discs (unless I accidentally looked at a copy of Volume 1 instead of Volume 2).

FYE has a 4 pack poster set with Wolverine (with pre-orders?).. The clerk gave me a couple as they got a whole box in and only had 3 pre-orders..

Also, I saw another possible exclusive at Wal-Mart. They had the Director's Cut of the pilot episode of Glee on DVD for $5, and it had a sticker for a mail-in offer for a free t-shirt, which claims that this offer is only available at WM.

in any case, since they seem very flexible and generous, ask them kindly if they have any older, leftover exclusives just sitting somewhere. you may even be able to "buy" them for $.01 each

Terminator - Sarah Connor S2 exclusive @ Best Buy
There's an exclusive metal packaging of Season 2 of Terminator-Sarah Connor at Best Buy. It's easily findable at the Best Buy site, I'd link to it but I'm too much of a noob for the board to allow.
Its description isn't as precise as I'd like - it calls the packaging a 'metal slipcase' - so I suppose it could be a metal sleeve or a steelbook. (Here's hoping it's a steelbook, to sit nicely next to S1.)

Hi. After checking out the Smallville season 8 metal slipcase and noticing the notch to pull the DVD out, it reminded me of the photo for Sarah Conner Chronicles. I emailed someone at Scanavo North America and had this reply:
"...please let the SteelBook™ community be aware that the Sarah Connor sku either DVD or BD is NOT SteelBook™ but only a metal sleeve. I have informed Warner to advise BBUS that this is false advertising and to rectify the situation immediately."
Just passing it along.

A person on another forum already has The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2 and it is indeed a metal slipcase similar to the Smallville one, from the picture he had posted. It is NOT a SteelBook.

How different is the Terminator SCC "metal case" from a steelbook? I guess really, how would it look next to season 1?

Perhaps the fact that this is not a SB is due to this season having 6 discs? I don't know the maximum amount of discs that can be fit into a SB; the most I've seen is the Dario Argento Collection, which has 5. Perhaps 6 is just too many discs?
Anyway, I can understand why Best Buy wants these things. They are likely MUCH cheaper. You can tell by the quality. Less metal and it seems a cheaper metal is used. There is no extra plastic or anything really. I'm just surprised they wouldn't have wanted to do a SB for this season, considering how fast the first season's SB sold out.
It also surprised me to see how FOX used the "big" package for this release; they couldn't have used a slimmer case like they did for Season 1? It seems unnecessarily bulky, especially given the recent trend in slimming down packages.
All those complaints aside, I do like the presentation of this release. The Metal Slipcase has a nice front cover; I always liked that promotional shot, so I am glad it made it on the DVD cover. Also, it's nice that at least the spines match. While this doesn't really matter for the SB release, seeing as how there is the extra metal protruding from the spine, it will be nice for the standard release. The slipcover for the first season and the side-entry slipcover for the second season should align nicely and the words (title, logos, etc.) seem to be (from what I can remember) very similar, if not identical. Also, the episode booklet contained in the case is very nice. Lots of information, promotional shots, and screenshots. The disc art is simple, but effective, and I was glad to see them get most of the main cast on the discs.
While I am disappointed that it wasn't a SB (the package itself doesn't tout the SB name, but the shelf at Best Buy did), this will at least look nice next to the SB and my T-800 Tin from EzyDVD.

The Best Buy exclusive version of 'Doctor Who - Series 4' had 6 disks, and it's full to bursting. Half the time difficult to keep closed. But clearly 6 disks possible.

Toys-R-Us had an endcap of Sony titles with stickers with $7.50 moviecash for Planet 51 or Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
Didn't say Toys-R-Us exclusive anywhere on the titles, which were mainly bad comedies like the recent Eddie Murphy stuff, but I haven't seen them elsewhere.

According to the sticker, it has "Coolsville NewsNetork Newscast and the Pilot Episode of Scooby Doo Where Are You."
Not sure if it was the same selection of movies, but Best Buy had an endcap of DVDs on sale for $6.99 that had a sticker offering a free movie ticket (up to $7.50 value) to Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs in 3-D or Planet 51. I picked up the 2-disc Adventures of Baron Munchausen 20th Anniversary Edition DVD for $6.99 with the free ticket offer.
Best Buy also had a little free flyer for the upcoming DVD & Blu-Ray release of Monsters Vs. Aliens. It had an advertisement for a free B.O.B. plush with purchase of the Blu-Ray or Ginormous Double DVD Pack, some activities for kids (a maze, connect the dots, and a coloring page, and a coupon for $4 off Monsters Vs. Aliens Blu-Ray or Ginormous Double DVD Pack coupon valid at Best Buy from 9/29/09 to 10/3/09. This one entices me as long as Target doesn't role out some bonus disc or CD like they did for the Madagascar 2-pack.

FOX had nothing to do with the DVD/BD release of T:TSCC....the show was produced by WARNER and they handle the home video release for the show, just like Chuck (airs on NBC, but also produced by and released on DVD by Warner)...

Before I forget... did anyone check Borders for a Wolverine exlcusive last week?
For some reason, I just thought they might have one (and confound it, all the Borders convenient to me closed a while back).
Anyone know anything, yea or nay?
