Oh good I can get Percy Jackson for just $15. So glad I held off on buying that one.

I'm also in for Supernatural: Season 4.

I hope they have Volume 8 of Family Guy on sale too.

The "extraordinary" password to watch that NoOrdinaryScreening.com promo doesn't work yet.

Re: Best Buy Media Prices (August 22 - 28, 2010)

This will be the first time since the show hit DVD that I won't be buying a Simpsons season in the first week. IMO this was the first truly awful season of the show, and while the completest in me will get it eventually I'm going to wait till the holidays when it drops to $20 or lower, because $32 is just too much for such an awful season.

Survival of the Dead is damn cheap! Awesome!

I'll be picking up that and HTTM probably, although I may scoop up a couple of those 5 dollar deals too, There's Something about Mary, The Day After Tomrorow, and The Devil Wears Prada are telling me they want to be in my collection. :P

Thank you sir!

Re: Best Buy Media Prices (August 22 - 28, 2010)

Hmmm, decisions, decisions. I have all 5 seasons of Lost on DVD and just need this last one to complete it. Plus, I like that there is a bonus disc included. But, I really don't want to spend over $30 on TV on DVD right now especially since the show barely ended 3 months ago and is still kind of fresh in my mind.

Then you could do what I'm going to do... wait 1-2 years for the price to get down to the right price. For me it'll be whichever happens first: (1) the Blu-Ray hits $25 or less or (2) I finish watching season 5 and can't wait any longer in which case I could go a little higher. Given that I'm only about 10 episodes into season 1 with no indication that I'll be able to watch more than 1 or 2 episodes per month, I think (1) will happen first. I've learned and keep suggesting that patience usually pays off unless you have to watch it now, and neither of us needs to.

I will hit $20 or less by the holidays (standard dvd) if history is any guide. Each season I buy it right away, only to only watch the special features by the time it has the big price drop and then I get ticked off. The bonus dvd is tempting, but I've only watched the bonus dvds from previous seasons once, the real good stuff they put in the set, so I'm not biting yet. Sometimes when the price drops they still have the sets with the bonus dvds on the shelves anyway.

You'd save money if you wait, but I've often sided on the side of not waiting so I get it if you don't. I'll be waiting this time however.

That was the case with season 5. I paid $37.99 for the DVD set the week it came out at Best Buy and there was a sale 2-3 weeks later and it dropped to $19.99, but most likely because it was promoting season 6's premiere. Luckily I managed to get a price match and get the difference back.

Not sure yet if I'll buy Katy Perry's cd at BB, or at Target... but I know I'll be buying it at one of the two places.

I think i'm gonna buy the boxer set at Best Buy, $3 cheaper, plus I wouldn't wear the shirt.

Can someone who bought the Katy Perry CD 'Teenage Dream' at BB or Target, please post pictures of the boxers or t shirt? I'd really like to see what the shirt and boxers look like.. Not sure which to get.
thanks

K-Mart has a free Katy Perry poster with CD purchase. I think FYE is also doing the same. I ended up just getting the regular edition for $7.99 at BB it was the cheapest.
