Hmm, I wonder if Target would price match Best Buy for Glee Season 1 Blu..? I would like that bonus disc, but not the $3 premium.
Thanks again for the prices!

I'll pick up Season 1 of Glee for the Bonus Disc. Eventually I'll get Volume 2 of Glee for completeness-sake. Really want to pick up It's Always Sunny, but it'll go down soon enough so I'll just wait.

You might be able to get them to price-match, but since the Target version includes an extra disc they really shouldn't price-match since it's not the same thing. Honestly, $3 for a bonus disc is reasonable.

Re: Target Media Prices (September 12 - 18, 2010)
Nothing for me this week. I wanted Fringe but I'm going to wait until it goes on sale before Christmas, like S1 did last year.
I've noticed that the TV on DVD new releases seem to be more expensive than the 2009 releases. I got S5 of Lost for $35 week of release at Target and S6 was $38 there. I know it was the final season but I don't think that the extras were any different than the other releases. I bought S2 of Grey's Anatomy off Amazon in 2006 release week and it was $34. Now S7 is $40.
It's not just ABC shows. Almost every new TV series release is a couple dollars more than the 2009 release. Unless you absolutely need the complete set week of release, most newer releases go on sale soon. Unless it's HBO and their after Christmas sale, it's hard to predict when individual sets will go on sale. Hopefully a couple (Lost, Fringe, Dexter) go on sale sometime before Christmas or Thanksgiving.

For tv seasons I never buy release week wait until they hit $10-20. Excellant Black Friday deals generally is when I get alot of my tv season that I collect. The shows produced by ABC/Disney don't go on sale as often as warner or fox shows but they do get there.

Thanks for posting. Interesting that looking online you can get Big Bang Theory S3 at
DVD = $28.99
DVD+Target Bonus Disc = $34.99
Blu-Ray=$33.39
Even with $0.99 shipping, the Blu-ray price is cheaper than anything else available now. Just wonder if they will have it available in-store with the bonus disc........

This advice is solid. I do the same thing too. I won't buy a TV Season set unless it's $20 or under. I filled in a LOT of my missing TV Seasons during last year's Black Friday sales.

It would be nice if the Glee S1 Vol 2 also came with the bonus disc as I don't really want to pay 37 bucks (plus tax) to get something I already own half of.

Yup gonna do the same. The only reason I bought early last year was for the bonus disk. None this year that I see. Oh well I am saving money.

Great... I didn't even know they were double-dipping on Black Cauldron. I went to order it, but can't find any confirmation on what the aspect ratio will be. Since Disney's press release says 1.78:1, I'll have to wait and see...

The Good Wife should come with a exclusive bonus disc with Paley Fest content [link]
they're not advertising it. they didn't advertise the vampire diaries exclusive last week either.

I almost missed TGW release. Oops! Looked at the flyer and didn't see it listed so I thought it was next week.
CRAZY not Targets part not to advertise these exclusives for TVD & TGW. Especially when they have "sale" items that are not even really on sale.

No DVDs from Target this week (or any week for that matter), but $24 for the "New" Super Mario Bros game for DS is tempting. $11 cheaper than any place, any other time. With my luck, as soon as I buy it the price will drop elsewhere.
