Wow, surprised by the lack of deals, being that Christmas is approaching. Ah well, probably stroll thru and see if there's anything unadvertised.

Did find Lexx S3/S4 combo pack for $10 this week!

$22.99 is actually a really good price for the latest Simpsons set, but I'm going to wait until I can get the BD for $19.99 like I've done in the past.

Target is too rich for my blood this week. I'll wait for some price drops.

I don't think that average people are buying DVDs as gifts like they were a few years ago. I was suprised to see people basically ignore the bins of DVDs and Blurays on Black Friday. They're practically giving these away, and people weren't biting.

I disagree.

I bought blu-rays of Act of Valor, Brave, The Crow, Ghost Protocol and Hunger Games as Christmas gifts for my son for roughly $30 total.

And considering the number of Brave threads, and the number of posts in the other BF threads in the blu-ray forum, I'd say plenty of others were biting on the discounts.

Agreed. The Good Wife Season 3 @ $32.99 would even be a lot on Blu, but that's really pricey for DVD (especially considering it's a sale price). Will wait for a better deal...

By the time I got to my nearest Wal-Mart the Saturday after Black Friday, the DVDs and blu-rays looked like they had been thoroughly picked over. I ended up picking up the lone copy of The Thing (remake/prequel) that they had for $7.88 or thereabouts. So I'm guessing that somebody was buying them.

Never made it to Target either day.

You didn't miss anything. It was slim pickings even if you went on the night. I got there before 10PM Thursday, their BF movies were low. It looked like they had a few dozen titles and Wal-Mart's BF prices beat them.

Thanks John/snausages! Went to Target yesterday and just as their ad suggests, they don't have alot going on right now, no sales worth mentioning as far as I'm concerned. Walked out empty-handed. -kd5-

The Simpsons $22.99 price is also for the limited edition molded head version. Nice surprise since that usually stays above $30.

Go back for a price adjustment. It's $7.50 this week (2nd-8th).

At the store here the $10 TVonDVD section is all $7.50 or $7.99 this week.
