I agree - The use of this code for set's that normally only count as one fufillment can be creative - The Trick is Still Plugging it in and seeing if the math works out... once i get done with the spreadsheet im working on - maybe i'll just plug them in and see if it works! lol...

This is what I'm trying to do. I emailed in a cancellation request. I've had them cancel orders before and it was a bit of a hassle but in this case I'm trying to cancel an order that consists of 2 pre-orders that aren't going to ship for two weeks. My credit card hasn't been charged. I've got my fingers crossed. I'll be kicking myself if I miss out on getting 2 extra dvds for free!

Since it is a Universal title, it won't appear on the site until Tuesday. Universal and Columbia titles aren't available for pre-order, but they do show up on the release date.

Grivet - Bossfan -

I believe i calculated it as if the account was already fufilled - i was so busy thinking of numbers - that i didn't read words...

recalculating

12.89 for 7 titles
97.90 for 2 more titles, and 2 sets
______
110.79 Total Spent
- 53.28 (5.92 x 9 regular titles)
_______
57.51 For Sets
/ 2 Sets
________
28.76 per set - $4 better then my other calculation.

I stand corrected - If his account was already fufilled, it would not be worth it, but if he is in need of 2 fufillments right now - his original plan was best.

bossfan - if you still want the spreadsheet, email me at:

If we use the free shipping baseline of 5.57 (see my earlier post), it works out like this.

enrollment: 12.89
fulfillment by 4 sets: 99.90 - 5 = 94.90
total: 107.79
subtracting the 7 enrollments X 5.57 = -38.99
4 sets for 68.80, or 17.20 per

These sets are $24 as a DDD 20% off sale, so this must be the best price I'll find.

It didn’t take $5 off for placing first web order. Will have to call Monday to adjust the price.

Save your dime; it took the $5 off one of the West Wings. I saw the same thing happen in my shopping cart today. It looks like, at least with this deal, the $5 off shows up on the title and not as a discount at the bottom. This makes me wonder if CH might be modifying their policy so that a title must be 19.95 after the discount in order to qualify for fulfillment. Maybe someone with an unfulfilled account can test this.

I just tried to add $19.95 title to my tv dvd club unfulfilled account. The $5.00 off pop up window says, '$5.00 your first order of $30 or more'.

For testing purpose, I added two of the Diary of the mad black woman to the cart. This is how it shows:

DVD1 $19.95
DVD2 $19.95
______________
Total $44.90 (For some reasone it counts $21.95 X 2)
-$10.00 (Says '$5.00 off first time web order.........But, it show $10)
____________________
Subtotal $34.90

Also, It didn't show one of the dvd's as free

Strange. Well, this was just a testing phase. I don't want these dvds. But, looks like combining $5.00 off and B1G1 free doesn't work with $19.95 title on an unfulfilled account.
Am I missing something or CH is messed up?

I did just that early this morning. Bought 4 $22.95 titles. Two of them showed up in the cart as 'FREE' and one of the $22.95 titles showed up as $17.95. BOTH the $22.95 title AND the $17.95 title counted as fulfillments!

Redrum... thank you, thank you, thank you!

I can't get the webdvd coupon to stack (I lose it when the b1g1 kicks in).

No big deal, B1G1 is still a good deal.

I can't get pre-orders to work, though. I've tried with A Very Long Engagement and Million Dollar Baby. Anyone figures it out let me know...

I guess I'm a CH math failure. Using your spread sheet I came up with a box set cost of 29.02. I know I'm being thick but if someone could point out the flaw in my calculation I would be grateful to you.

The cost of the LMTD membership using 19.95 fulfillment titles, no free shipping, and 5.00 discount:
7 enrollment -12.89
2 fulfillment - 39.90 + $4.98(S/H) - 5 = 39.88
total = 12.89 + 39.88 = 52.77 for 9 DVDs
average DVD price 5.86

The cost of the LMTD membership using my box set plus regular selections, B1G1 free, free shipping on 3, and the 5.00 discount:
7 enrollment - 12.89
fulfillment total, 2 box sets plus 2 regular titles - 97.90
total 110.79

The cost of the 7 enrollment plus 2 regular titles - 5.86 * 9 = 52.74

relative cost of the box sets - 110.79 - 52.74 = 58.05 / 2 box sets = 29.02

I did a quick code search and it looks like we should be able to extend the b1g1f deal by a week via code:

803434 b1g1f expires 5/20/05

also found:

803462 b1g1f expires 5/7/05

which should now no longer be usable... but the code is still working so maybe these expiration dates are meaningless?

In any event I advise continuing to use the 803419 code that redrum originally posted until at least 5/12. If it does in fact expire we should all be able to hop over to 803434 for another week!

Are you "losing it" -or- is it being shown in a different way? Since the B1G1 is cauing the $ to be regular price, my webdvd showed up in that regular price on my order of 2 of the Legacy Collection. Normal $ on those is $29.95, but the non-free one showed as $24.95 with the 2nd being FREE.

Maybe you have to have a $24.95 regular priced DVD for the $5 webdvd discount to work (in order for the ending result to be $19.95+)????
