The banner at the top of the page says "TV and Movies Up TO 60% Off". The details state "Up to 60% off applies to select sets". I noticed it because I added the Twin Peaks set to my cart when it was around $55. I logged in a couple of days ago and it had dropped to $36.

interesting, my banner yesterday or today does not mention 60% off sets. but today it does say "$13 dvds with free shipping"

Looks like mine is in the process of being changed. I see both banners now and when I search for one of the discounted sets I see the discounted price but when added to my cart it jumps in price.

It doesn't seem that the B1G1 can combine with the $13 FS, per se, but if you are putting an order together using both offers, you might try playing with the order in the cart. I was able to make it count one of the $13 FS selections as the first item to save $1 on shipping, that is $1.99 per item with no first item at $2.99.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Absolutely try playing with the order you put in the codes. I started with the $13 and free shipping, got this in the cart:

After.Life $13.00
Book of Eli $13.00

Total $27.82 (I have to pay tax)

THEN I put in the BOGO code 20100812BRT1D and my cart went to:

After.Life $13.00
Book of Eli FREE
Shipping $2.99
Tax $1.12

Total $17.11.

Paid and confirmed, hopefully it sticks.

^Have you already used it on that account? It's this month's "you made a purchase last month" reward B1G1 code (last month's was 20100715BRT1D). It's a one time use per account code.

Yesterday both my TVonDVD accounts had 60% off sets (1 fulfilled, 1 unfulfilled) and the DVD accounts had 40% off. Today *all* accounts have the $13/free shipping DVD titles.

Not sure why you would want that deal. Neither disc will count toward your purchase commitment and if you've already fulfilled your commitment, why would you pay an average of $8.55 per disc?

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Why wouldn't the first disc count if the regular price is over 19.95?

Yes, if the regular price is 19.95 or over, but not if you're getting it at a sale price.

I understand what you are saying, that I should want it to count toward fulfillment, or I should be cycling again. Especially since the turnaround from canceling to restart is so quick now. Don't have an answer, just liked the deal.

That is the most honest answer I've ever seen, I'm getting misty just reading it.

Just got that too. For some reason, all sets are up to full price right now. (briefly in my cart this morning everything was at 6.95 too)

Thanks. It's working for DVDs and Blu-ray but not box sets. There may be a few under $15 BDs I want...

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

The code works for free shipping but it raises the price of the DVD's. Before I put in the free shipping code the banner gave me DVD's at $7.95 each when you buy 1 at the regular price plus s/h added. Now that I enter the free shipping code I get the free shipping but the banner changes to 40% off plus free s/h. So by putting in the code my $7.95 DVDs are now $13.77 each. Boo Hoo.

Yea, I can confirm that as well. Effectively doubles the price of the $7.95 disc. What a CF.

Anyway, I pre-ordered Apocalypse Now Blu-ray with free shipping. It's a three discer, so I hope it counts as two selections.

like always, this is one of those times you have to play with the cart, I got the prices back to the $7.95 price by entering the code and clicking apply after everything was in the cart. also I notice if you put things in the cart and let it sit there for a long time prices change on their own.

I'm really tempted to pre-order the BDs of Maltese Falcon and Treasure of the Sierra Madre for $15 ea. and free shipping. I just know if I do they'll hit 9.99 at Amazon around the holidays.

I haven't seen a new copy of Casablanca under $15 since it's Feb release, so I say go for it.
