Cool so you can start with 7 discs discounted and then only 2 to buy at regular price within 2 years?

Man I would love to be able to get them to let me include Tangled 3D BD and Nightmare befor Christmas 3D BD.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

The only chance that you have with 3D titles is via the phone.

BTW, the item # for Nightmare Before Christmas 3D is 14288.

So I joined and I want to pre-order Cars 2 at 24.95.
I see that little after the fact people were getting TLK at 24.95 as well and combining with free shipping.
I'm trying Cars 2 with POTC:OST at 24.95 and I see no free shipping option and when I add POTC it gets the 33% discount!!!!

What am I doing wrong?
Should I call someone?

One more thing...is there a "bill me later" option on DMC?
Not Bill Me Later...but you know...getting a bill from DMC?

At the time the standard offer was buy one, get one 40% off, and also get free shipping when you buy two or more. Don't know what the current regular offer is because I'm a VIP now, but if it doesn't include free shipping when you buy 2 or more, you're out of luck, unless you want to wait for another offer to come along.

As far as the discount. I did it with Cars and the Lion King, and it didn't take 40% off either item. It seemed that they were non-discountable. Perhaps they have changed that, or maybe Pirates is dicountable now because it'a no longer a pre-order.

I don't believe there is, you have to pay for it when you order.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Thanks to this thread I got me a pretty good haul.

POTC:COTBP
POTC: DMC
POTC:AWE
Tron: Legacy
Tron
Walt y el Grupo
Waking Sleeping Beauty

I'm going to call customer service and see if I can order Cars 2 and POTC:OST, both are 24.95 at the moment, and see if they will each count towards my commitment.
I can't seem to add one without the other getting a discount.
That is to say, I got the impression from earlier in this thread that the 24.95 new releases are counting towards commitment.

Let's keep our fingers crossed!!

Again...thanks to this thread I think I got a pretty sweet deal.

UPDATE:
I just added Cars 2 and POTC:OST into my cart and they both showed at 24.95.
Should I go ahead and place this order? Is it 100% that these two titles will count towards my commitment at this discounted price?

I can't say for certain that it is 100%, as I can't find it in writing anywhere, but so far I haven't heard from anyone that ordered a 24.95 new release and it didn't count.

I would say place the order, and keep checking your commmitment status. If it counts, it should pop up as a comittment in your order history before it arrives (as their shipping is very slow). If it doesn't count, call them and ask. And wost case, if they won't take it as a commitment, just write Return to Sender on it and send it back, they will credit you back for the order.

I called CS before I placed my order today and the lady assured me that they both "should" count towards my commitment.
If they don't she said I should just call back and they would fix it for me.

So...SCORE!!!

Thanks for your help Obi!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Weird, "Dumbo" and the new "Winnie the Pooh" aren't even available on the regular members site, so there's no way to get a catalog number. Has anyone had success calling to get these titles as enrollments?

Also any possible inside info on if they'll be available in the future?

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Yes, they should become available later this month. I believe Dumbo is scheduled to be a Club Selection during the holidays. Very strange that they aren't already on the site though. Hell, Fox and the Hound showed up 4 months before the release date.

I think Pooh will be the next featured selection, it was in my email for declining the current featured selection.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Confirmed.
Cars 2 and POTC: OST both counted towards commitment at $24.95 each.

Bringing my average disc haul to $8.58

Just sent a "refer a friend" to my buddy who is interested (and has kids) about the deal I got and if I get that extra disc due to that it brings me down to $7.72 per disc!!!

What a country!!!

Oh yea...if I get my intro package soon there is a "50 bonus pt per disc entered by Nov. 15th" code out there for the Disney Movie Rewards. That's an extra 450...I see a couple of Blus on there I wouldn't mind getting...soooooo
If I count that towards this whole club deal, and refer a friend...that would be 12 discs for $77.24...making the average disc $6.44....

Obsessed much?

Thanks for all the tips I got on this thread!!!

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

WHEW! Just cycled another blu-ray account and added Cars 2 (released just this week) as one of my enrollment titles using the number replacement trick. But when I got my order confirmation it showed me being charged $24.95 for it. Called customer service and they quickly fixed it, no questions asked! *wipes forehead*

Also was able to get The Lion King and Bambi blu-rays. To quote ^DrnknMstr2.... WHAT A COUNTRY! :-)

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

Anyone have any experience with the "Refer a Friend" program?
I sent it to my buddy and he joined but it still shows and hime "not joining yet".

Does it take a while to process?

I generally don't refer friends because I don't think they can use the best offer code if I refer them. I'd prefer that they get the best deal rather than them signing up so I can get a free movie.

Ooooh!
That must have been what happened then.
I sent the refer a friend but I directed to him use the better promo code, which he did.

I guess that means I don't get the bonus disc.
FAIL.

Although I am glad my friend is scoring big with the "better" deal.

Re: Disney Blu-ray Club!

I have tried to complete my signup and when I hit submit on the last screen, it goes to an error screen and says that the site is unavailable. Any ideas?
