I know that the receiver can up convert analog to digital via HDMI. Can the receiver also take composite & S-Video and pass through component?

Reason I ask is that I have a projector with no HDMI input and I use component. I'll be upgrading later this year to a new projector (with HDMI) but want to be able to connect an SD DirecTV box and a VCR to the Onkyo TX-SR605 and have it output via component.

I currently use a Panasonic DVD recorder to "convert" the composite & S-Video connections to a component output.

I can't seem to locate a manual on-line for the Onkyo & am in hopes that someone here can answer.

Thanks, I'll check it out. The Onkyo web site was giving error pages earlier today.

EDIT: Yes, it can output upconverted composite or S-Video via component or HDMI. There is a setting to choose which to output to.
