I got a ridiculously cheap 60" 4K TV that I will use as a computer monitor. I want to mount it on the wall in front of my desk.

I don't want a tilting mount but I would like to be able to raise or lower the TV's height on the wall a bit in case I get it too high or low on initial installation. Is there a fixed wall mount that lets you tweak the height without having to drill new holes?

Well usually every standard tv mount has 4 bolts, then whatever swivel type it is. Sounds like you want a height adjustable one. I have this holding up our 55” TCL in one of our rooms.

Thanks, but I don’t think I need a swivel type. It it exists, I’d like a flat to the wall type that just has the ability to raise or lower if you pull the TV off the wall and then either have multiple slots you can put the bracket connected to the TV in or be able to vertically adjust the holes the TV is screwed in to the bracket.

You may not want/need the lock cable stuff but it appears you can adjust the height with multiple points. They have quite a selection of mounts. I have one of their non-swiveling mounts that does allow for tilt.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen similar ones but they never mention that they allow height adjustment. But it does look like it accommodates that. I'll do some checking.

I think that what you're looking for is something that allows you to slide a flush-mounted tv a foot or so up and down?

I don't think I've seen a flush-mount that does that. They night swivel on the x- and y-axes a bit, but I've never seen one that goes up and down.

Such a mechanism might not be structurally sound, like whatever held the tv up that could be hand adjusted wouldn't support the weight of the tv.

No, I'm not looking for something that slides. I just want to be able to move the monitor up or down after I initially mount it if I find that a better position for long term viewing is above or below where I originally placed it.

I might only find that out after using it for a while and I don't care if I have to remove the monitor and move the screws to the monitor brackets or something else short of having to drill new holes into the wall studs. It's not something that I would do often.

That's pretty nice, but I probably only need to change the height one or two times until I find the proper position.
