Hey Aguirre, I just got it and threw it in to take a look. It's a 1.66 transfer non-anamorphic, with a standard mono mix. What stands out for me is the mix. It sounds like they transfered it directly from an old optical as there is a lot of hiss and pops. The image is not bad, especially for a film this old. Contrast and range of white to black is fine. It does not approach the beauty of the recent Criterion L'Avventura, with speckles and a slight wavering (most likely means the transfer was from a print) here and there. Although I never saw what it looked like as a vhs release, I still think that it is well worth the under $17 price. I think I saw it at Digital Eyes for $13 and change. Oh - the subtitles are of course new and easy to read. Get it.
