That said, Dave Chappelle is easily one of the funniest guys on TV right now, and $20 is a steal for this set.

I think that fanbase that is buying the DVDs is already watching the show. Problem is with the way the Nielsen ratings are done. Shows like Family Guy and Chappelle Show always do poorly. I just think the kind of people that watch those shows are not being represented by the ratings groups.

I also wished it could be censored or uncensored.
2 audio tracks (Dolby Surround 2.0 tracks don't take a whole lot of space) and seamless branching (a censored scene would be a separate chapter so it can just use a different chapter for uncensored) would be nice.
I wouldn't hold my breath for a censored release, though.
For those of you who can't find it, I had some trouble. FYE and Best Buy were out. Media Play's computer couldn't even find it, and it was out of stock on the comedy section, but there were a bunch of copies hidden in the black cinema section, so check there also.

Yesterday it was abundant in my area, but today I bought seemingly the last copy in the city. Another person was there to buy it at the same time but luckily I asked first. What is it with Comedy Central putting out such low first runs?

probably not that Comedy Central's putting out low print runs, but more like underanticipation of general public's interest in a TV series DVD. that, plus the low price point caught the retailers/etailers off guard.

This set is totally worth the cash. The show is hilarious and the outtakes etc. are decent enough (granted, they could have been half the length... some are decent...nothing extraordinary though) Any fan of the show should really pick up the set... with the commentaries and swearing intact, this is a must own for any comedy fan.

I went there today shortly after they opened. They at least looked like they got a lot of copies in because they had a whole shelf just for that title alone, but it was empty. I went to Blockbuster, because I thought, "Who shops for DVDs there? It will be in stock there." and no luck. I thought I should check Wal Mart, but really didn't hold out much hope there either, but they still had three copies in stock (19.96) so I got mine today.
I also thought this was like Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Space Ghost all over again, with the exception that those titles most stores only got in two or three copies. It appears stores are getting in more copies of Chappele, just not enough to meet the demand. I really have to wonder why this is. Obviously all these shows did really well in the ratings, or the DVDs wouldn't come out at all, but yet they just don't think anybody is going to want to buy this stuff. I can't figure it out. I just hope the fine folks at Comedy Central and WB are taking notes and do these similar sets right in the future. I will have to beat a Best Buy employee senseless if they don't order enough copies of Johnny Quest season one when it comes out and they run out of that.

Does anyone have a problem viewing episode 5 during the airplane skit? Right as it passes the indians, my DVD seems to skip then freezes for about 10 seconds.

The airplane scene is screwed on my Sony DVP-S360. Glad to hear i'm not the only one.
Also checked to see if it worked on my Playstation 2 : newer model 50001. Not only did the indian scene get screwed, the color keeps fading from dark to light on the PS2 for both discs. This sucks! Dave said he loves the Playstation, he could have at least made sure it worked on it.
FYI: It worked fine on my DVD ROM for my PC
Would taking it back and exchanging it for another help you think?

I went to my local BB and CC here in NY and couldnt find it in any of the two. I was about to give up for the week till i entered this Entertainment Outlet store and got it there for $19.99. Also picked up Killin' Em Softly for $11.99.
