DVD collection, I stopped sorting them... not enough space, just not worth the trouble. Though the problem is, I haven't a clue what I own. Is my DVD profiler accurate? The world may never know...

Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread. I've been out of town for a week and have been too busy to reply ever since I got back.

Kate Hudson's legs, where did you get that poster.
As someone else mentioned, I got it at Allposters.

uNCSUcks, are those poster frames from Suncoast? If so, were you able to get posters in them without wrinkling or bubbling the posters? I have several of those frames and the cheap cardboard back makes it hard to get the posters in flat.
Actually they are from AC Moore. I havent had any problems with the posters wrinkling or bubbling.

uNCSUcks,

Can I come over and watch the Wolfpack win the ACC Tourney on your TV?

uNCSUcks,
Great TV, I bought my parents the same one. Have you had yours tweaked or just did it yourself?
I tweaked mine using Avia and it looks great. Eventually I will probably do an ISF Callibration though.

As demonstrated by retihsuhnt's post, your blatent lack of DVD organization has just caused half of the members of this forum to have OCD induced aneurisms.

I hope you're proud of youself . . .

I'm graduating this quarter in college and working only part time, so i don't have all the fancy stuff you guys do. I pretty much do everything on my PC... DVDs, TV, Games, etc... which suits me just fine. Could use a bigger monitor though Plus, my apartment walls are paper thin so even my little speakers have made my neighbors pound on the wall. I have a few movie posters that i need to frame before i put up too

Here are some updated pics. Still have the Ikea Benno wall shelves for a majority of my collection but the over flow now goes to the card catalog style DVD case.

Are those speakers the Logitech Z-640's? Those are going for free at my local CompUSA and it ends today. I've been tempted since Sunday to buy 'em. Currently using Creative Inspire 4.1's on my pc. How are they?

Hey! Leave my messy room alone! In all fairness, that picture is a month or so old.. it's a bit cleaner now As for the paper towels and trash can... hey its finals week, gotta relax somehow....

Yeah, those speakers are the z-640's. The bass is really loud, although the midrange on the speakers are a little weak. But they're cheap and solid, and work just fine for my apartment.

Hay *RG3*...you happy with those Benno shelves? Looks like they may work well for my collection and I'm thinking of picking some up. They hold about 70 DVD's right?

I'm more or less happy with them but the only issue is that they're heavy. My father suggested that I drill holes in each of their quadrants so I can secure them with toggles without the Benno's heaviness ripping apart the sheet rock. I still think the wall would be fine holding another wall shelf but but my parents are against it.

I suppose the best thing to do when mounting the shelves is to find a beam to secure them into. I love them though because they hold such a good number of DVDs.
