SnapOnTool, is there a place or way to acquire several missing slipcovers? I have racked up quite a few I need, I know of at least 15 I am missing, though I'll admit only a handful I truly desire. It would be nice to have them all, but I can't get TOO ocd lol.

its not rocket science, you can always look on ebay and email seller for slipsleeve if you dont actually find it in stores. or post in this forum asking other users if they are willing to sell or trade.
dont see why you would write that i have a problem, when i was simply hinting that more common sense could help
Calm down Philip, all i meant was, for Subzero to explain his line of thinking to you would serve no purpose. It's water under the bridge. He got the movie, he needs the slipcover, let's move forward. Don't make him explain what's already done. It's ridiculous. And you're little analogy is all wrong too. It's not at all like buying a car without tires, being that a DVD will function fine without a slipcover, a tire-less car will not.

The very nature of this message board is derived from the fact that these slipcovers are accessories put out for marketing purposes, and totally frivolous. It makes ABSOLUTE sense that he would buy the DVD after exhausting his resources trying to find one with a slipcover. I think we all have seen that if you don't get some of these new releases in the first month, they become harder and harder to find. I would've done the same thing in his position (and i have) and if i came to this group for advice, i wouldn't want some other member questioning me on how i got into the situation. It's completely unnecessary.
Lets help him instead of making him feel worse. I would think you'd want the same treatment.

Hey Pride,
The only place i've bought them from is ebay...but they're becoming more and more prevelent. Usually someone will sell a lot of 15 or 20 for and few bucks (then another $5 for shipping).

I have a friend who manages a Best Buy, so i can usually get the new realease ones. Plus i've amassed quite a few doubles over the years from double dipping (buying the same title more than once).

So, if you want to send me your top 5 or so, i'll see if i have them or keep a look out for them. It's no problem.

I just saw a guy on ebay list a lot of slipcovers including "The Heartbreak Kid" which i NEVER saw with a slipcover...so i was really surprised by that one.

Heartbreak Kid + Sleepover SC....

Thanks man, that's what i thought and i even asked him if they were US releases and he said yes, but i think you're right, i'm glad i didn't get it.

Now, as long as i'm asking...i saw the movie "Sleepover" on Vale's master list. Does anyone have this or have they seen it with a sc?

I've got two daughters and therefor by association, i've got every DVD ever marketed toward the tween audience. We got Sleepover the first day it came out and i've NEVER seen even a ripped up old slip cover for it.

Has anyone seen this to confirm it? And if so, what does it look like?

I'll look out as well. Refresh my memory, did "Across the Universe" come in both WS and FS? And if so, which one do you need?

I came across it right before the Suncoast in my mall closed. It's the same dvd, just with a new (fox) slipcover. If you go to dvdempire.com you can see a pic of it.

Can anyone confirm if POTC1 has a slipcover? I wouldn't know, I got the three disc (two disc w/out slipcover, if one, packaged with third bonus disc). Also Live Free or Die Hard Unrated 1 disc? Thanks.

          EDIT: Found a pic:

Anyone know if it is embossed or such as POTC2 or 3? This one moves up to number 1 on my list of slipcovers now...

Thanks, I think I still desire the pirates slipcover, but mainly because it looks weird how two have one and one doesn't.

I'm outside D.C. and i don't think we hav any Suncost stores. How long ago did you see the "Sleepover" slipcover?

I'll start looking around unless it was a long time ago and they're all probably gone by now. Let me know when you saw it if you can..thanks.

          Also, Target has
Lions to Lambs with a movie script reprint so it's a thicker slipcover.
          Also new with slipcovers...

Suncoast is part of TWEC. Most are called FYE in our area.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned, don't see it on the last page, but at Walmart tonight I saw 5 new gatefold slipcovers as part of a new (?) series, "UA celebrates 90 years of film". Each covers a budget title of the older 1 disc release of these titles:

                Raging Bull
                West Side Story
                Fiddler on the Roof
                Midnight Cowboy
                The Great Escape

The interior of the gatefold contains 1 page devoted to the original theatrical poster, and the other page a text essay on the film.
