Re: The Definitive DVDs with Slipcases/Slipcovers Thread (Ver.2)
Don't know if this has been reported, but at my local Walmart, "TMNT 2: The Secret of the Ooze" had a brand new (to me, at least) 25th Anniversary slipcover that said 25 Years: 1984 - 2009 or something like that on the top of it, and the cover was embossed and shiny and pretty freakin' cool actually. It was over the top of the standard release, I thought this was really weird that they issued this slipcover. Has anybody seen these covers for any of the other flicks?

Re: The Definitive DVDs with Slipcases/Slipcovers Thread (Ver.2)
... i just got the first TMNT 25th anniversary at MY local Walmart (three cheers for big Sam). So that's good news that the sequels have slip covers as well. I'll have to look around, cuz you're right. The cover is a nice foil, embossed high quality sc (with no mention of Walmart or any other marketing crap on the cover itself). Very nice find. Thanks...
So there definately are 3 new foil slipcovers for the first 3 original TMNT movies. I found the first 2 at local Walmarts and am looking for the 3rd. Here are pics of all 3. If anyone has seen or can get the 3rd one please let me know and i can send you paypal or offer a trade or both. Thanks.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Turtles in Time
Also, a side note. The 2 new double DVD releases of the animated X-men series each have a very nice foil embossed slipcover but i've only seen them at Best Buy. So if you're going to buy these, i'd find the big yellow sign first.

Group concensus please
OK,
Here's one to think on your next trip to the bathroom (when we all do our best thinking).
The new "Hard Evidence" edition of "Primal Fear" (the great movie that introduced us to Edward Norton) comes in a clear, faux "Evidence" bag with the DVD inside (get it...it's hard evidence). Anyway, the question is, does this clear bag constitute entry into Vale's sacred list? By pure definition of a slipcover, "An extraneous outer shell that is independent from DVD packaging and not purchaseable by itself therefor does not contain it's own unique UPC" this "bag" qualifies. But plain old common sense feels like it's not. So i'm kind of torn and want the groups opinion.
I'm guessing if "Major League" can have a slipcover of astro-turf, we can have one that is a plastic "evidence" bag. I guess with DVD sales down, we're gonna be seeing alot more of this creative marketing so maybe we need to be open to the same new ideas. What does everyone think?
Here's a link to a pic. Vale, i'm having a hard time putting in image URL's. They just come up blank. Do you need to set my permissions to allow me "Paste priveledges"? Just wondering...

Valkyrie 2-disc has one too. Probably a lot we've missed in the past month or two though.

Which one did the US get? It looks like HMV Canada has two.
This one I only saw at HVM.
and this one of the cover that I've seen at multiple retailers:
