I sold the 1-disc in 2003 in anticipation of the SE... whoops. With all the sequels proving the franchise's popularity, I wonder why they just don't release it.

I've been looking forward to this for a while. I would have much rather had this released than Leroy and Stitch

The R4 can be had for around $AUD12 ($USD9) at the moment. Might be worth a hunt around online for it for some of you.

I have been holding out getting the 1 disc release in hopes that the 2 disc will finally see the light of day. Some how I don't think this day will ever come.

Anything new on this? Going on FOUR YEARS (craziness) since I sold my one-disc in anticipation of this release.

Is the SE ever going to happen? I'm thinking of just buying the one disc version.

Ugh, now I know how all the Twin Peaks fans felt every time somebody would bump the Season 2 thread asking for updates when there were none. I figured the SE would coincide with Leroy & Stitch but now maybe I'm thinking they held off on that idea so they could have another Stitch release separately.

Well i am afraid this will never come to pass, but at the same time ive been fairly certain if i went and rebought a brand new copy of the original one that 30 days latter the 2 disc would be announced.
well today on ebay i found a used copy that doesnt have the cover or any artwork, (the disc is supposedly in great shape) but i won it for 49cents with free shipping so that will hold me over till the time they decide to release the 2 disc.

they have to do this sometime soon, there arent to many more titles they havent rereleased atleast once or twice by now.

Geez, guys! The 2-disc has been available in other countries for literally years now. It's stupid to keep holding off.

Hate to break it to you, but no cover = bootleg (usually). Especially since Disney stuff is so popular to bootleg.

Lilo & Stitch 2-Disc Big Wave Edition March 24, 2009

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...ehomeimprovemz

It's taken over six years and many unfulfilled rumors, but Region 1 is finally getting a two-disc DVD of Lilo & Stitch. Disney's last hit 2D-animated theatrical release will resurface in a 2-Disc Big Wave Edition on March 24, 2009, the same day that another major new animated Disney film is set to debut (more on that in about a month). Extras will include deleted scenes, music videos by A*Teens and The Hawaiian Chorus,
Lilo & Stitch Island Adventure Games, "DisneyPedia: Hawaii", "A Stitch in Time", and "much, much more!" That last component should include everything that's made it onto the film's internationally-available Special Editions. - ultimatedisney.com

They should also release the Blu-Ray while they are on it.

It was inevitable. After selling my original copy 5 or 6 years ago for the SE which was cancelled I went without it until a couple months ago. As soon as I rebought it I knew they'd finally release it.

Gah! Double dipping time. Love this movie up until the part before Stitch starts speaking coherent phrases.

Possibly the only double-dip that I will gladly make. Kind of funny, the kids are too old to care now ...
