Problem with South Park: Season 7....

I watched the first disc tonight, and a few times throughout, the audio seemed to drop out, and by that I mean the audio seemed to get really quiet at times and them come back, then go away again....it seemed to happen a lot during the first episode. Just wondering if it was just me.

You're not the only one - I'm getting that, too. I foresee a disc replacement in the future...

That sucks. Well, at least it's not some TV problem, or worse, a problem with my ears...

same thing happened with mine, I was going to switch mine with another one this morning. I thought maybe I just got a bad disc.

By the way I bought mine at Target....where did you buy yours? Maybe some places got a bad batch?

I'm guessing he means the "bleeping". I've always heard that the creators think it's funnier when it's left in.

The same thing happened with mine. I started watching the first episode this morning and the audio was dropping out like crazy so I figured I'd come check here. I got mine at future shop. Is everybody having this problem?

I'm certain you'd find that South Park w/out the bleeping isn't as funny It's part of the humor.

I'm getting it mainly during the title music (on every episode I've seen on the 1st disc). Sometimes if there's a combination of dialog and music the volume jumps back and forth. Ive only watched 3 episodes so far though.

The DVDTalk review says nothing about this problem.

http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=20507

It may be a player specific issue. I will check my copy tonight on 2 different players and report back.

I heard this last night on my cheapo Apex player. At times the audio would get super low. I only played the first disc.

Yeah right, the audio problems on Season 1 (frequent audio "pops" on the soundtrack) were never corrected by Comedy Central (these South Park releases have been distributed by Warner Bros. and Paramount but Comedy Central handles everything on the DVD releases) and those problems are significantly more bothersome than these. I noticed some definite audio issues on all 15 episodes (mainly the volume level of the theme but a few other instances, too) but it was nothing to freak out over, the episodes are entirely watchable.

Go ahead and buy them: it's really not that bad and they're never going to fix it anyway.

I watched a few episodes from each disc last night and noticed this problem a fair amount. I had to keep the receiver remote in my hand almost the whole time to adjust the volume as needed. It's not a HUGE issue but it is an irritation.

This is exactly what happened when I played disk 1 on my old Sony player and was only noticeable during the opening theme. However, on my newer Jaton player, there were no audio problems at all. The only other difference is that my old player is using the red/white connectors to my receiver, while my Jaton is connected with an optical cable.

On my 2nd and 3rd disc's the only time the sound dip's is in the opening theme song,on my first disc it dips through out the epi.,I will check it out on another DVD player tonight,it's not a big problem but alittle annoying.

Bought these yesterday and watched part of the first disc without noticing the problem? Maybe I'm just not that observant?

Played the first disk on my toshiba player and noticed the volume going out mainly on the first few episodes. It's something that I can live with. My dvd player is crap anyway, I'm hoping that a new one will fix this problem.
