I don't see why people are telling to look at other posts because db27's the only person who's seen the FYE steelbooks personally. I'll take his word over anyone else's.

Looks like that means for the first time ever, I'll be buying two copies of one movie...I'll get the one disc with the bonus at Walmart, get the 2 disc at Best Buy, and then sell off the one disc and keep the bonus.

Lame.

All these exclusives give me a headache. I'm getting the plain old 2-disc set and calling it a day.

Alright I will be getting the 2 disc edition from Circuit City with a $10 Gift Card and maybe I will pick up the transforming DVD case from Target as a collectible and not open it.

That's it....I'm done.

So I went into FYE and pre-ordered both steelbook versions. After hearing that they were charging $5 per on the pre-order, I found it odd that the clerk charged me $6 for both. Either way, I'm not complaining.

nope.. its not just region 2, Paramount made a major worldwide marketing blitx for Transformers (in fact they push it earlier than expected to be ahead in sales for the month of "-bers" )

Philippines as I see it carries the most blessed marketing from Paramount among other countries.

But take a look at its toll if we here can spend around $20-$40 there spends like P800-P2,000 in their currency
I want to get the VCD version. Too bad HD gets left out of any bonus offers. If they want to promote HD and Blu-Ray then they should go exclusives for high definition only.

I pre-ordered from FYE and it says tin also. I wouldn't be worried though. It was funny because the female clerk didn't know how to pronounce "decepticon."

Well that's it then, she's fired.

Seriously though, I hope that Transformers tins will be available in store. I've got a boatload of store credit to use up and a TF tin would be great. Although, I could save that extra money for the sopranos and young indy the week after... decisions decisions.

Is there any way to get the steelbook online? It was on fye.com at one point in time, right?

Blockbuster is going to have an exclusive mp3 player with an autobot logo on it. I haven't seen it yet, but we got a memo about it today.

Did you get the Deluxe class Arcee? It's much better and she's pink/purple like she should be and in better scale.

well, if you look a few posts above db27's post it will point you to the post that has the information pertaining to the post that directly quotes the other post about the "Transformers" steelbook post which is only a few away from the one post that says what to look for in the remaining few posts. also, i've seen the fye steelbook personally when i was in to pre-order and the posts that mention what they look like are pretty well posted already.

Wow. It's like I'm watching my words bounce right off your head. I've read every post in this thread already, which was how I got confused in the first place. You're post before db's post confirming the FYE's are indeed steelbooks and not tins in particular was the one that got me wondering. Because the ones I saw (on a poster) at Suncoast were not grey, they were black like Futureshop's.

I've seen a grey steelbook and they look bland, and I'd rather get the regular 2 disc than this:

I asked db because, like I said, he seems to be only reliable guy to ask about FYE's steelbooks.

Oh, and you have not seen the steelbooks personally, all you saw was a poster (that had grey steelbooks, apparently).

That Decepticon Steelbook above looks like the ones from Suncoast. On another board a Suncoast employee posted pictures of the fronts on the Steelbooks and described that they were a dark titanium/silver in color. The backs, although not pictured, looked like the other movie cases. So I guess it doesn't have the back like the Futureshop ones.

Don't know how true the information is, but they also posted that they had over 50 preorders and only got 22 Steelbooks (11 Autobot, 11 Decepticon)

If I read "post" one more time, I'm gonna throw up. Anyway, damn that's alot of exclusives. I want the transforming case, walmart disc & mp3 player... and maybe that double sided steelbook from play.com. But I gotta wait and see what the thing actually looks like. For some reason, the picture looked edited. The spine looked mirrored. I don't know, maybe it's just me but anyway I'll wait.
