Just got back from my BB and got the HDDVD version along with the Lithograph.

They only had about 15 lithographs available but to my surprise they got in at least 50 or more of just the HDDVD version.

I wish these B&M stores would actually hire people like you -- it never ceases to amaze me that store employees know little to nothing about the products they're selling. Or at least the products I'm buying.

So is Walmart's bonus DVD pretty much the same as the comic book that came with Target's DVDs?

Is there any text on the spine of the outer cover of the transforming case?

It seems that this particular comic is exclusive to the Target edition as it has ads for the Target exclusive Bumblebee 2 pack action figures and also has the Target robovision decoder inside.

Some poor dude is going to be screwed out of an Autobots steelbook at my local FYE. I pre-ordered a couple of weeks ago the Autobot edition. I walk in today, and they held aside the regular 2 disc special edition for me. They hold them right behind the counter and I could see a stack of other pre-orders sitting there. The guy tried to get me to take one of the Decepticon versions still sitting out on the shelf. I said 'well you're going to get me one of those pre-orders back there. I'm here now, I have the pre-order slip, so you're going to give me one and I don't care what you're going to have to deal with later on to get me what I paid for'.

Morons.

Needless to say I got my Autobots steel book and thankfully, no loose discs to report here.

Thanks for that. I do hate the employees that dont help you, but this particular Target always had friendly ones that helps me out and even talks to me about stuff.

Im only a teen but I seem to know much more than what regular CC and BB employees know.

I don't have a best buy so I went with the mp3 player at blockbuster. I'll just give it to my kids since I have a couple already.

perhaps it was an idiot, however it should be noted the tag (fye price tag) actually says "tin" and I would wager they are in fact made of tin, or aluminum, but certainly not steel! Regardless of what though, they are sweet.

Then it's FYE's fault for mislabeling. Tin in Band of Brothers or the 14-disc Supes

Being the only Detroit Tigers fan in New Jersey, when I have to go to the Home Depot with my orange Tigers shirt and hat, I usually get asked where the light bulbs, toilet plungers, and insect replant are. Same thing happens when I where my red fire department shirt at Target...however I put a small piece of paper on my shirt that says "Hi my name is, I don't work here!"

Just curious, did anyone who bought the Target set see if there is any additional outside of the comic to the set? The ad says there is bonus content, but I am not sure there is any.

Text is on the proper side (left) of the transforming case, but the other side is clear plastic. The whole thing (robot/case, the comic book) is housed in a semi-flimsy clear plastic box with the regular two-disc art showing in the front.

Yes, that ad text is confusing about a "bonus disc", but you only ge the same 2 discs that anyone else buying the standard 2-disc version gets.

I'm liking my big Optimus Prime case. A very cool and appropriate exclusive.

I bought the 2-disc at BB today, but I think I'm going to return it and hold off until I get an HD player which should be fairly soon. After seeing those screen grabs from the HD disc I'm sold on the amazing quality, so that's what I want my 1st HD-DVD to be.

The transforming case actually makes me wish I liked this film. It appears to be a very cool case. However I can't justify $25 on a film I hated.

I figured i'd post up some pics of the target exclusive. I haven't seen this movie yet i've just heard great things...i hope it wasn't a negative blind buy but i saw the transformation case and thought it looked cheesy but it's really not so bad after all so i picked it up!

There were two left after i picked it up which was around 10:30 this morning. I also threw in my glock for size camparision lol it's a huge transformer. Well i'm going to go watch her now i've been waiting all day lol.

There was like 20 pre-ordered and 10 extra Steelbooks when I picked mine up at Suncoast.

Was gonna wait for the 2 disc to go down to like $10 or so,but the Steelbook hooked me. Looks pretty fucking cool. [Thanks DB27!!!]

I went to Target [to kill time] to look at the pathetic Transforming case... After looking at it, looked cool, ended up getting it. heh heh... also got the HD DVD version, AND I DON"T HAVE AN HD DVD PLAYER!
Spoiler:
and the reason I got them, they were $15.99 each

And to think that people are idiots for buying multiple items/exclusives, and I did it today. I blame XAGE

After reading about all the Targets selling out of the exclusive case, I stopped at one on the way home from work and they had about 15-20 of the things, so I decided to just buy one, but I think I'll sit on it for a bit and decide if I really want this case or just the regular one. I just didn't want to miss my change.

I told my brother and he just bought himself 2 of them. One to open and one to sit on for now.

The Target I went to in Cerritos, CA easily had around 50 copies of the 2-disc Optimus Prime Transforming Robot at 1:30pm. I picked one up easily.
