I ordered the 5-disc SD briefcase on December 6th from Deep Discount, it came Tuesday and I can't open it until Tuesday!

In case anyone in Chicago is interested, I just saw a Blu-Ray Briefcase set at the Borders on State and Randolph downtown. I only saw one and it was in the glass case behind a couple other things and only the top inch or so of it was visible. So, look hard if you go for it.

My friend send me an IM about his SD briefcase. Cheap plastic handle was busted before he even touched it. Buyer's beware!

No problems here either. I even took it to work to show a few interested fans. They even got a kick out of the "toys".

For anyone living in Ontario, Canada, they had plenty of all three sets at the HMV at Square One in Mississauga. Nice set.

That's good news online thing is will they give me the same treatment with the blu-ray briefcase. It seems the blu-ray is harder to find. I've seen so many hd releases but only the 5 disk edition not the briefcase set.

Wow I already got my Blade Runner order from Amazon one day after shipping. Looks like they upgraded my free shipping order to priority mail. In fact I also received several other orders I made during a few of the recent high definition B1G1 free sales and they were all shipped priority mail. Nice surprise and a big thank you to Amazon for making the effort to get my orders here before Christmas.

This might be an odd request but if anyone has the "Blade Runner 4 Disc" DVD set; could you post photos of the interior artwork? Not the section with the discs (pictured here with only 2 sides: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/image...70007110.L.jpg) but the 4 sides behind it where WB puts the bulk of the artwork.

I'm curious to see if it's different than the 5 disc set artwork.

I went down to Hastings to pick this up tonight. They had tons of the double disc, ONE copy of the 4-disc (I picked it up) and THREE of the briefcases, ALL BLU-RAY. No regular DVD briefcase and no regular HD or BLU-RAY discs.

Does anybody know if this is showing up at Costcos?

Was gonna wait on this, but seeing how limited it really is I had to jump on it. Ordered from Amazon, but then found it at BN here in town so I bought it. If/when I get the Amazon one, I'll just return to BN, or be covered in case it doesn't ship.

Does anyone think that these briefcases will be totally sold out anytime soon? I mean, the other day I went to at least 3 stores and ALL of them were sold out of the briefcases. I am very worried I will have to pay through the nose on ebay for this.

I would say that, since these are numbered, and limited to 103,000 sets, combined, it's a safe bet to assume these will not be available for long.

Regardless, you state that you are worried you will have to pay through the nose on eBay. That being the case, if you can get your hands on one, now, at the regular price, I'd say go for it. If you really want to get it, it's best to get it now, rather than wait on it, and pay much more for it, later.

It's totally worth the price I paid for it at Best Buy ($54.99).

That's my take.

Yes but I am 16 and I am relying heavily on my parents to get this for me for christmas. They know that this is the one gift that I want the most and hell, I had a copy on hold for myself at Borders so I don't know why I am worrying, I just really want this and if for some reason they haven't gotten it I will be so upset! I know I should be grateful for what I get but if I don't get this soon I won't be able to have it at all :P

Work Print version. Supposedly it's a very early rough cut of the movie that differs from the theatrical, Director's & Final Cut. There is also a Paul Sammon audio commentary on it (he's the writer of a book called The Making of Blade Runner) along with a documentary on the multiple versions of the movie and the making of The Final Cut.

Lots of shit on that 5th disc. It's up to you if you think it's worth it.

The work print, you basically get the bulk of the workprint though on the 4 disc set in the international, theatrical & final cuts.
You basically get the bulk of the workprint on the 4 disc set in the international, theatrical & final cuts, it's not really worth it to spend $50 + on the 5 disc breifcase set when you could buy the 4 disc set and get the same material shown in the workprint but just in a different order for a better price.

If anyone could upload photos of the 4 disc set that would be much appreciated, I'm awaiting my order to arrive and wanted to get a preview of the artwork if possible, I know others would probably like to see it as well (since besides the front & back cover, it seems to be the only packaging that so far has yet to be uploaded anywhere).

Here is what I was able to find from the 5 disc DVD breifcase set in terms of artwork if anyone is interested...

I'm getting nervous about this handle. Case seems very apt to break.
