Figures...I just recently bought the one that's been out for awhile. Guess that's why they announced they were releasing a new version...they were waiting for me to buy the old one first.

Isn't that how it always works?

Not sure if it is a misprint or not, but the slipcover for this new release of Sword in the Stone stated an aspect ratio of 1:33.

Hold onto it. You got the better one. They're both full screen which I believe is its oar. But the Gold Collection has the full Wonderful World of Color episode which is cut down to a 7 minute clip. Instead they added kiddie games. I wish I hadn't ebayed my Gold Collection.

As far as I know that's the original aspect ratio.

Did anyone buying this disc in Canada get a slipcover? I picked it up at Walmart last night and none of the discs in the display had them.

According to IMDB the OAR was 1.75:1. Bummer if that's correct.

According to UltimateDisney.com 1.33:1 is right, and 1.75:1 was likely matted. Odd thing is the Gold Edition had the standard "This film has been modified to fit your screen" warning that is put on Pan & Scan DVDs. I wonder if this release does too.
