Post pics of your DVD collection and HT, Part 13
I needed to post some more pics, so figured I'd start another thread.
Here is a link to part 11

Had an old CRT Panasonic which was excellent for SD stuff but needed an upgrade. Used an SD projector in the same room as well and I really needed to simplify things and make the place look better.
Had the carpet pulled out and replaced with that compressed wood stuff with a laminate coating stuff.
Wall mounted a Sony KDL46X3100 (I think it's called the 46XBR4 in the rest of the world). Couldn't conceal the cables in the walls since it's only single brick and no cavity, So I opted for an Atdec cable concealing system.
It took ages to figure out what I wanted to use to cover the cables along the bottom. I originally wanted to get a horizontal silver strip of something to match the vertical one. Ended up with a less complex solution that brings a bit of green to it all as well.

You jerks made him delete the pics, lol. I actually enjoyed seeing them. Kind of cool how they've made the spines of movies in a series match and stuff, whereas they don't on SD.

For what it's worth deto, I liked seeing your collection. I like to see the titles people have, as it often gives me ideas of what I could get. And I know I could look at the massive lists people put in their sig, but I'd way rather see an actual image of them.

I LOVE those and love that movie. What type of paper did you print these on?

You could also use the engravings from the book (The Club Dumas - which is fantastic), but those are slightly different from the engravings of the movie.
You can see the differences here:

I did read the book as well, very good. That guys site has a tutorial on making the pages look older. I think I might give that a try. Thanks.

I have those floorstanding Yamaha speakers at the front, and 2 bookshelf speakers besides a 3 seater sofa opposite the TV. Seating distance is about 3m from the TV.
Will post a pic when I get back from work.

It probably would have been best to leave the carpet in the room or put in some different carpet fmian, even though it would not have looked as cool as the flooring in there now.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread by putting my collection up here. I love looking at other people's shelves of DVDs and it seems like this thread is going away slowly, so I wanted to bring it back.
This is my collection. I'm a newlywed and still in school. So the DVD player is cheap, and so are the speakers. I really can't afford a huge overhaul of stuff like that at the moment. But, I still love to buy DVDs.
Top of DVD shelf. Those Cavemen toys have nothing to do with movies, they are actually Kinder Egg toys that I collected. I just love them, and they are pretty rare, especially the whole set. And then I have a little Wall-e action figure. I want to start collecting a few toys that are movie related, so I figured I'd start with my favorite movie character this year.
Bottom part of the DVD shelf. Most of the top shelf in this pic are animation stuff like Disney and Pixar. Then the bottom part is all TV. Planet Earth is missing, the people that live above us are borrowing it. And yes all of those 24 seasons are from that sweet Best Buy deal that went down the other week!!!
This is actually in the TV stand. I bought that DVD shelf in the first few pics and filled it up right away with all the stuff I had, so I had to start putting stuff in the TV stand. Like I said my equipment isn't the best. That's pretty cheap-o DVD player, I just can't get a real extravagant one yet. I'm kinda waiting for BluRay players to come down in price so I can get one of those to play everything.
These are mostly all the R-rated movies. We keep them in here so innocent minds don't get a hold of them. I also tried to arrange them by color, because I was bored one day.
And this is it all together. It's a little meager, but ever growing. Thanks everyone for sharing your stuff, I'll post updates when it grows substantially.
