Aren't all Blu-ray cases curved at the corners, though? I mean, it could be, I guess, but there's no way to tell from that low-res pic.

Assuming it's real, I'm in for the steelbook.

I think the DVD with the Batman mask is a fake.

I hope to God the steelbook one is real, though.

I like the one with the mask best. Not so much for the mask itself but for the "Why So Serious" artwork on the DVD case.

There's no way those are real. I don't have a way to point it out right now, but if you look closely at the steelbook and then the Blu-ray next to it you can see that all they did was take the the steelbook, cut off the bottom and tack on the Blu-ray header.

Ain't real. Even part of the steelbook packaging is sticking above the blue header.

The spine is also just a horizontal reflection of the left side of the front artwork. And no spine text? fake-o

those are actually variants listed in a Czech online dvd shop--- filmcity.cz..

here are the links for each:

Steelbook

http://www.filmcity.cz/inshop/script...mplatesDir=dvd

Mask

http://www.filmcity.cz/inshop/script...mplatesDir=dvd

BatPod

http://www.filmcity.cz/inshop/script...mplatesDir=dvd

Blu-Ray

http://www.filmcity.cz/inshop/script...mplatesDir=vhs

Regular 2-disc

http://www.filmcity.cz/inshop/script...mplatesDir=dvd

and here's a link to a Czech article that talks about these releases.. they confirm here that there will be a BatPod version to be released there as well as a regular 2-disc edition.. a third version is still to be determined wheter it will be a steelbook edition or a mask edition..

here's the link to the article:

Those look really cool, but I'd like to see the "Why so serious?" poster with the Joker behind glass as the cover.

In non-steelbook news, they will also have the following exclusives:

2) Dark Knight 2-Disc DVD w/Batman Mask Replica that IS NOT AVAILABLE for pre-order and no price announcement yet:

Generally in the past, the cost of shipping from Czech Republic to the US is about $30-$40USD starting, depending on the item.
TWEC stores in US are already taking preorders for their exclusive SteelBook as well.

I hope they use the movie poster artwork with Batman and the burning building in the background as the artwork for the 2 disc special edition.

I HOPE to God this is what they do for the two-disc SE:

Disc 1
- 5.1/DTS tracks
- Zimmer/Howard isolated score with possible commentary
- Nolans/producer commentary
- trailer gallery (all theatrical teasers/trailers; international trailers; exclusive internet trailers)
- TV spot gallery

Disc 2
- extensive documentaries/featurettes on the making of the movie/viral marketing/etc
- tributes to Heath Ledger
- deleted scenes
- outtakes
- design galleries (charaters/props/posters)
- confidential files

I remember Batman was still playing in theaters when it came out on VHS.

In one of the many interviews they did, they both mention a wish to have the score isolated in 5.1 on the Blu-ray release.

I've already abandoned all hope of a commentary track on the DVD.
Hopefully whatever features we get it will be better than what was on the Batman Begins 2-disk.

Warner's half attempt to be consistent on lossless audio IS a joke.

Yeah, I know it's a laugh. I just think TDK's got a phenomenal soundtrack and I think if the WB decides to grow a pair and start using DTS again, TDK would be the prime candidate.

That would be "Gotham Tonight", and I'm glad they're including all of them.

The History Channel played both "Batman Unmasked" and "Batman Technology" a month or two ago. They were both very good (especially "unmasked"). I'm glad they're both being included.

for TrueHD
