Is the DVD individually wrapped, good enough for gift giving?

Can you tell us if the sideshow gift card requires a minimum purchase and if it is in the actually dvd case or outside?

I looked at the sight and even though $50 is pretty good it doesn't go very far there. What do you think of the bust?

I'll probably be getting this and the steelbook and maybe target and sort the whole thing out later.
yes the dvd is shrink wrap, good for giving or returning it back. Not trying to encourage people to do it, but if you take off the 2 disc sticker you can place it on the dvd and return it, no?

the slideshow card is in the box, so you can remove it with ease. it seems the giftcard has no minimum purchase but on selected items. It also has and expiration date if you go online. I'll look into later today.

Midnight Loot

The poster tube expands kind of like a missile tube and is hollow inside.

They messed up and only allowed a lithograph for those who purchased the regular 2-disc set and no lithograph for the ultimate gift set w/the bust (only got tube & t-shirt). The ad said otherwise, but they would not bulge. However the 2-disc set folks got lithograph, tube, & t-shirt. Totally a ripoff...whatever. They could have gotten things a bit more organized. The system also charged $44.99 for the ultimate gift set, even though it was on sale for $39.99. Had to get it price adjusted, a slight pain since there were enough staff onhand. Waited in line only 1.5hrs in the cold. Not too too shabby.

Kudos to DEEveeDEE3 for the first post Were you at the same store as me? LOL

Is anyone picking this up at FYE today? I pre-ordered the Blu-Ray from them online (had a bunch of store credit I needed to use), and now they have two listings for it, both at different prices (25.35 is what I paid, the other set is 28-29 bucks.)

If you pick this up, can you let me know what the in-store price is? Thanks.

I had a Best Buy midnight opening only 2 miles from my place. I should have gone based on those photos.

What are the differences between what Target and Best Buy are offereing? I can't buy Blu-Ray, if that makes a difference. And I obviously didn't go to a BB midnight release, lol.

BB has a mini (and I do mean "mini"!) bust of the Iron Man helmet, with a $50 gift card to sideshowcollectibles.com. Target has the 2 disc set in an exclusive case that opens up like a clamshell that looks like the helmet. Look back a few posts/pages for pictures. And welcome to the Forum....

I got the Blu-ray one at Target!

Target doesn't have exclusive bonus features, right?
And does BB still have some exclusive gift set?

And thanks for answering my questions

I didn't see anything different on the back of the Target box in the way of added features. Target does this some of the time...advertising extra features when it is what all the other regular editions have. The exclusive set at BB is the mini bust, plus they are giving out a lithograph. I wasn't impressed with either, so I passed. You can get the Target set in SD, not just BD....

No, that Target set has no exclusive bonus features. Just the case and a "mini Iron Man print".

I just got back from Target and there were a bunch of nerds like me there to score a head set. They only had 4 copies of the Blu-ray (out on the shelf) and about 16 of the standard def. They had most of the sets crammed in to those plastic shelves that encase the new releases, so the shrinkwrap was ripped and the boxes were dented on nearly 90% of them.

They had more in the back though, and the girl got me a good copy of the BD and I found a decent copy of th SD in another section.

For those wondering, there's a UPC sticker over the regular UPC.. I think indicating that it has the correct disc for those wondering. The SD set has a standard UPC, no sticker.

TARGET EXCLUSIVE IRON MAN MASK CASE

Looks like the BluRay Mask case is out of the standard BluRay size with its (outer) package dimension

*****

This is the first time I saw people lining up to get the "BluRay" Exclusive .. roughly around 12 in the store I went and it went SOLDOUT that fast.

The sideshow gift card kinda sucks...you can only use it on certain things...and nothing i want really :-/ I'm happy with my bust though.

cover scans of TWEC SteelBook in case anyone interested (the red is more Iron Man burgandy than the bright red stuff some pics show)...

Looking at DEEveeDEE's pics, I find it odd that with FYE's steelbook, the discs have artwork and not the common Paramount gray disc. I can't take a pic but the FYE discs are red with a bright center similar to the iron man chest (sorry for the poor description). Anyone know if the Target discs have artwork?

Just came back from FYE and Target. Got the SteelBook and the Target Mask (My FIRST Blu-ray Disc...now I just need a player, lol). I couldn't resist a $5 difference in the Standard and Hi-Def, and seeing as how I knew I already had a version I could watch immediately, I felt compelled to get it.

I thought Target's did have bonus features not on the other ones found at BB, CC, etc.

From Speedy's post in Bargins:
Only At Target! Blu-Ray Disc and Target Deluxe Edition DVD have exclusive mask packaging and additional bonus footage

It's just misleading verbage. "Exclusive" only applies to the mask packaging. "Additional bonus footage" is just in comparison to the "normal" DVD edition. The discs are the same as what you'd get in any 2 disc set.

Picked up my FYE Steelbook. The sale price on it now is $25.99 w/ $7 mail in rebate.

Saw the 3D lenticular cover at Blockbuster and its poop. Its just Iron Man keeling on the ground and it only looked like his upper arm was moving. Was hoping for the 3 suit lenticular cover.

Are you just a huge fan of the film? Or do you usually buy every single different release of a given film?
