Saw this on the warner bros site:

Special Notice Regarding Orders Placed between 8/8 and 9/4, 2007
Due to a system upgrade implementation, we are unable to ship orders placed between August 8th – September 4th 2007, until after September 5th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Any order paced during this period will be processed as soon as possible after 9/5 and will be shipped per normal shipping standards once processed.

The exception is DVD titles (listed below) with release dates of August 28th or September 4th for which we have reserved stock and which will be processed and shipped per our standard shipping guidelines;

Legion of Super Heroes: V1
Samurai Jack Season 4
Bob Saget: That Ain't Right
Chill Out, Scooby Doo!
History of Penn State Football
History of Wisconsin Football
NBA Championships 2007: San Antonio Spurs
NBA Championships 2007: San Antonio Spurs
NFL Indianapolis Colts Road to XLI
Robot Chicken: Season One & Two
Robot Chicken: Season Two
Nip/Tuck Complete Seasons 1-4
Nip/Tuck Season 4
Murder Game

Please note that we will also not be able to process returns during this period. Any returns received by us between 8/8 and 9/4 will be processed beginning 9/5. We will make every effort to process these as quickly as possible thereafter.

Information Regarding $10 Gift Voucher
Should you place an order during the period outlined above, in appreciation of your patronage, we will provide you with a $10 gift voucher good towards any future purchase at www.warnervideo.com.

This gift voucher will be sent by email and only upon final shipment of the order placed during the period 8/8 through 9/4 and will be valid only for use against the next purchase made. The voucher will not be transferable, but may be combined with any promotion or offer available at the time of redemption.
So it looks like you can get a $10 credit for ordering between the 8th and 4th. Done numerous times, that $10 could potentially add up.

Very interesting. If this $10 credit does apply to ALL orders placed during the timeframe outlined then I could have just royally screwed myself by taking advantage of the 25% off coupon over this past weekend...I probably ordered 20+ HD DVDs. What can you do? You win some, you lose some.

So do you get a new $10 voucher with each purchase? Meaning you could order one $20 HD DVD, then continue ordering others for $10 each on separate orders? There's no way.

Theres nothign saying that its one voucher per account. Worse case scenario is that you'll have to create a new account for each purchase.

It says they wont be emailing out the vouchers til after 9/5, so i'm sure they'll come up with some BS rule before then.

Who says they'll give out the voucher more than once? I guess you could exploit it with multiple accounts though. I can't imagine they're just going to let people get $10 on multiple orders.

This is a great deal although I ruined it for myself.

I figured that the GCO thing would work with buy.com just like it did with DVDPlanet and Empire, soooo... I just very quickly placed 5 orders with one card but different email addys. Instead of all of them working like they used to, within 30 minutes all orders are canceled.

I guess that is what I deserve for being shady.

^ I think the magical number is 3 for Buy.com. So you can get up to 5 with Planet and Empire?? I'm ordering from there from now on.

Well the GCO is exclusive with Buy.com right now for the time being, correct?

And have you successfully placed 3 orders with one card number? Do you try and do them really quickly like me, haha, or do you wait in between.

thanks

It's Buy.com exclusive now? I had no idea.

And yeah, I always do 3 on one card with Buy.com. Sometimes quickly and sometimes I wait, but I don't think it matters as long as it's 3. When I try 4, I always get a "there was a problem with your order" message and then a "stop abusing this offer" email then I go to the next card, make 3 orders, and then the next. It's a good system, lol.

Supposedly S3 will go down in price....so, amazon would automatically lower the price after someone ordered if the reduction is true.

Face/Off has a higher list price of $36.95, so $19.95 is a bargain on that title.

Not sure if this has been posted. I was in my local Sam's Club today and they had the Xbox 360 HD-DVD player for 159.88. OOS in-store, so I checked online and they have it for the same price. Includes King Kong.
