The Mummy 2
3:10 To Yuma
Independence Day

Went back to Wal-Mart. The rest of the titles were,

American Gangster
Fantastic Four: ROTSS

Picked up AVP: Requiem and Sunshine. Thought about Forbidden Kingdom, but could only afford two right now.

My wife got me the Sony BRD-S350 yesterday at K-Mart for $179. They had 9 of them and she got the 7th voucher.

If she had caught an extra stop light or something on the way there, I might still be watching only SD-DVDs.

Kung Fu Panda (Blu-Ray) - $8.99
Knocked Up (Blu-Ray) - $8.99
The Incredible Hulk (Norton version) (Blu-Ray) - $8.99
Wall-e (Blu-Ray) - $8.99

Wal-Mart cashiers will pricematch anything you tell them. I showed them the ad for Fry's of 8.99 Blu-Rays and told them all these movies were $8.99.
There isn't even a Fry's in my state too. hahahaha

Nightmare Before Christmas (Blu-Ray) - $9.99
The Scorpion King (Blu-Ray) - $9.99
Flags of our Fathers (Blu-Ray) - $9.99
Were these ALL price matches or are any of these Walmart's prices?

Unfortunately, it probably was. Jeff Foxworthy's Greatest Goll Darn Knee-Slappin' Bloopers Vol. 18 is rather popular.

The best player for the money I'm seeing on Amazon is the Panasonic BD35K for $228, or the Sony S350 for $219. Are either of those actually good deals? I haven't looked at the prices of players for a long time, since I just use my PS3, but figured I'd get another player for my bedroom.

The S350 is $149 at SonyStyle.com using a coupon right now (though it might have ended last night). Its being discussed in the Player thread.

Or go to Costco/Sams. $198 for the S350 (BDX1) with backlit remote and HDMI Cable.

I'm seeing the BX1 listed for $189 with an HDMI cable, is that what you meant? Is that exactly the same as the S350? Because it doesn't list output for DTS HD or DTS HD MA (they separately list each kind of Dolby Digital, including TrueHD, but only one kind of DTS).

Edit: Also, not exactly a Blu-ray deal, but I just got the Onkyo S506, which decodes TrueHD and DTS HD MA for $182 off Amazon. It's the silver one, which doesn't look as nice, but for some reason the silver was $182 and the black one was $198. Since I already have a black one in my living room, I figured I could go for a silver one in my room, given that was it was cheaper.

If anyone still wants Transformers for 10 bucks it's at Target.com right now.

Yeah, the BX1 is exactly the same as the S350 except it says BX1 on the player instead of S350. I owned both the BX1 and S350 and can confirm it does everything the S350 does (same firmware etc.). The only other difference is a bonus HDMI cable and a backlit remote (the same as the Sony S550).

Ok, well $189 for the S350 and a backlit remote is good enough for me to bite, especially now that I have that Onkyo coming.

Edit: Wait, with tax it's now over $200. At that point I think I might prefer the Panasonic.

If you buy it from Costco, they still offer a no time limit, no questions asked refund policy on DVD players(making the purchase risk free).
