I'm in. Free ticket to see Wolverine sounds great, but I could careless about the digital copies. Here's hoping they put it either in a big case (Die Hard Trilogy) or 3 cases inside of a slip over. No Omen Collection BS, Fox!

I'm glad they're available separately. I always thought the first one was the best one -- everyone else was bananas about the second one, but as someone who wasn't a well-read fan of the comics, I felt it rushed through everything interesting. While the hardcore X-Men crowd was probably like "Oh, awesome! I know what that is! Oh and that too!" I was mostly like "Wait, that was interesting, go back to that!" And like most, I think, I thought the third one was pretty bad.

Yeah, this is fox so it doesn't look good for three seperate cases... Call me crazy but that's just the way I like it, esp when they're still making movies in the series which will be in standard cases...

How strange is this....
X-men Set, 9 discs, $79.99 list price (Fox)
Bourne Set, 3 discs, $94.99 list price (Universal)
Who would have imagined that Fox would have the cheaper price of these 2 items.

You'll still be able to buy them separately, although it'll be a bit more that way.

Even though I only love the 2nd movie (I used to call the first one eXcreMENt, and the less said about the 3rd, the better), the wife is a completist and we'll eventually buy the box set.

So it appears the first disc for X-Men 3 is not identical to the 2006 release. Seems to have more features.
Have to decide if it's worth just getting the whole set vs. buying 1 and 2 separate. I know 3 won't be worth crap used once this is out.

Yeah, but Digital Copies are mostly a new thing and I don't really think they should count as an additional disc here. Otherwise this is a more typical 6 disc set, 2 per movie which there's plenty of.

arty work
... if I didn't know any better I would say they were trying to pimp that Wolverine cat
anyone with prior movie cash box set experience (Bond)?
would the box have 3 vouchers for movie cash (1 per release) or just 1 voucher for the whole package?

I kinda dig the big X, although it's weird that they include so many characters for the 3rd movie but leave out major ones in the first 2 like Cyclops or Rogue.

Yeah only thing that concerns me is if it's going to be a digipack. I mean it would be easier for Fox to just do regular 3 disc cases for each one rather than pull an Alien Quadrilogy style case.

Well, 3 discs for each movie...we do have the fat cases that Disney uses and the slim ones Fox has already sued (Firefly). Its possible they just show all 3 in a slipcase and call it a day. As long as its not Omen-like packaging I'll be happy.
