I did get that Legacy mail-in disc, figured I could hold onto that if it wasn't on there but I guess I can let it go.

thanks

So there's absolutely no features missing from the blu that was either on the legacy or quadrilogy set? Even the commentary that was on the legacy, but didn't make it to the quadrilogy?

There goes my retirement plan. I had two of those and considered them my most prized exclusives.

Not all the Legacy features are there. I know the production audio track on Alien was dropped from the BD set. There may be something else missing.

It's claimed everything on Quadrilogy is there. I don't know how extensively that was investigated though, because there's just so much material. How can one be sure every photo gallery is complete, for example? There are literally thousands of stills in there. Normally I don't obsess over photo galleries, but I am fascinated by these movies so I am reluctant to let Quadrilogy go, although I could probably hold another five or six BDs in the shelf space it would vacate.

And yes, I did step through every still image in those galleries when the set first came out. Took me almost a month, watching a little bit each day, to work my way through all the extras on that set.

I'm so tempted to get this, that's a heck-of-a-deal. I much prefer the first two over the last two though. I see the single movies out and now torn on get the Box Set or the two single disc movies.

For anyone who doesn't keep up with the Blu-ray bargains section of the forum, I highly recommend anyone considering this just go with Amazon UK for 20 bucks cheaper, as seen in this thread.

Yea..but I'm sure the shipping costs put it close or above the $52 Amazon has it here with free ship. It's $32 (using the USD converter).

I'd still like to know if there are any differences between the box set discs and the current single disc BR out there now.

Re: Alien Anthology - Oct. 26th

I just bought all four individual releases for the Prometheus movie cash. Guess I'll sell/gift those before I even open them.

Re: Alien Anthology - Oct. 26th

I honestly can't decided what to do. That is an insane price and I really want to see the new special features, but I'm trying to be really good about not buying things that I know I won't watch right away - especially since I already own the DVD box.

Good god. I don't even have a BD player or a home for it anymore(if only I could run a PS3 from my car...hrmm). And I want to buy this.

If you don't own the set, it's time to purchase.

Goddamn it. Goddamn you, Amazon. I don't even have a home, I sleep in my car or at a girl's place at times, I've got nothing but some books, my phone, my car, my clothes, and access to a gym. No matter what my situation. I couldn't pass up this fucking deal. I hate you, Amazon. I hate you for this great deal.
