Agreed

Also regarding the Borders stocking issue with the Blu-Ray of Benjamin Button, it doesn't look like B&M Borders stores are carrying this right now.

As I mentioned, their .com site has the disc listed as "Not Available In Stores" and I did not see any copies of the Blu-Ray with the new releases when I was at work today.

I want my Amazon Order of Dexter S1/S2 to ship already

Well guess the blu case definitely shows this isn't a real Criterion release. They just whored their name out, like people have been saying.
Um, this is a "real" Criterion release. It has DTS-HD Master Audio, which Paramount DOES NOT USE. It has Criterion artwork on the discs and the Criterion spine number on the cover.

Maybe since this is a major release for them, they don't have enough clear cases to use? This isn't Wages of Fear we're talking about, this is a new $100+ million hit starring Brad Pitt. I think demand will be slightly higher.

Top Gun?
Star Trek TOS:S1? (CBS Television, but still a division of Paramount and has Paramount logos on the box...)

Yeah, I know, Dolby TrueHD is used 99% of the time, and DTS-HD MA is the exception....still, you should have said Paramount USUALLY does not use DTS-HD MA, not that they DON'T.....

Top Gun had DTS MA at the request (or force) of the Director.
Star Trek is CBS (while being distributed by Paramount) and had no choice.

Paramount is TrueHD if they can help it. Disney, however, has changed over to DTS thanks to the lucrative deal they struck late last year. Which is great for us since all new BD players include internal decoding now (and not at a premium price!).

Re: "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" - 6/9 (?)

Got the following email from Amazon.

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship the item(s) as soon as we expected and need to provide you with a new estimate of when the item(s) may be delivered:

Lois Hall, et al "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button [Blu-ray]"
[Blu-ray]
Estimated arrival date: May 12 2009 - May 13 2009

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this delay.
I'm a Prime member and ordered it on March 24th. Plus I can't cancel since it's already processing. Would have done that and gotten it at Best Buy instead.

I haven't received an email, and mine has been in "shipping soon" all day still with tomorrow as the "delivery estimate." They'd better be shipping it next day air from somewhere. Especially since it says "In Stock" on the product page.

I sent them an email around the same time as my last post, asking about the delay, and explaining my Prime, order status, etc. I got an email an hour ago saying it shipped.

That's so strange. I'm a Prime member and ordered on 4/28, and my copy shipped today.

Yeah that is...curious. Although I'm looking at Delivery estimate, and it's for tomorrow, as opposed to the usual two day shipping, so I'm guessing they overnighted it.

Same, mine had about 7 copies left I think on the aisle, didn't look for a display.

Mine has been on shipping soon for a couple of days. It's great that they aren't shipping it and they won't let me cancel it either. I could go pick it up at a store for roughly the same price. Which is much different than my current May 22nd delivery estimate.

This is the first time in a long time that I have pre-ordered something from Amazon. I don't think I'll be doing it again anytime soon.

I think someone stole my Benjamin Button. UPS says delivered and yet there's nothing here. *sigh

That's one thing I always get concerned about with UPS (or FedEx) is that sometimes they just leave it right at the step out in the open. Now, sometimes it's hard to hide it, but at least make an effort. Thankfully, I have a screen door so if it's small enough, they can put it there.

Not sure where you live (apartment complex, house), but ask a neighbor, maybe it got delivered to the wrong place.

Mine arrived from Wherehouse shrink-wrapped but with no slip cover. I noticed the copies in Costco did have the cover... I wonder if those are only offered at B&M stores?

I have had several instances where UPS has delivered my packages to the wrong house on my street.
Call them because they seem to be able to check the exact address the package was delivered to, even if it was incorrect.
