A trailer on the DVD for "Legend of the Seeker" has a trailer for an upcoming "10 Things I Hate About You" special edition for Blu-Ray and DVD, featuring "Never before seen bonus features".

They played this trailer on a Blu-ray about a month or two ago with no date, but from what I've heard expect it sometime around the first week or two of January. It was supposed to come out in December...but studios have moved on from 2009 to 2010 plans.

Well at least one new thing (likely a retrospective). This release is timed for the second part of the new ABC Family series. It's possible the BD release may get delayed a week or two if the TV shows gets pushed back. I won't know more for a while since its so far out.

The more well know poster is better and shows off all the cast:
This seems like an attempt to cash grab off of Heath's death (like other studios do when an actress suddenly becomes big and they re-release showcasing them)

I'm more annoyed that the credits appear (sort of) over the wrong people. ARGH.
The worst part is that the original image was in the other direction and they flipped it.

I'm a fan of the poster/artwork (though, yeah, the fact that they flipped it is a little odd) and will be buying either this or the DVD around release.

I wonder if they will include the pilot episode for the TV series.
I havent checked out the show but i really liked the movie(one of the better attempts at reimagineing a Shakespeare story for teen audiences) still have the poster in my collection.
Its intresting that Larry Miller was able to be convinced to reprise his role as the father for the tv series/

I love the movie and tried to watch the show but only made it through one episode and was out - not good. So hopefully there won't be any mention of the show on this release

Actually found the 1st episode rather crappy, but thought it improved fairly well from the 2nd onward.

I'd say neither. Takes the general idea but plays it out over episodes/seasons. I watched the first 10 episodes and they were alright. If it got canceled I wouldn't be upset, but it got picked up for the back 10 (or 12) to make it a full season. Characters names and their personalitys are the same, different storylines etc.

oh i see thanks for the info. I think i will just leave well enough alone and just stick with the movie then. I cant imagine them having someone better cast then Julia Styles and Heath ledger

Actually, the TV replacements for those two characters are great. Everyone else though...ugh.
